Meeting called to order: by Tammy Huey-President at 11:00 am

Approval of minutes from November 2012 with correction- correction sent to Deanna for posting “Julia Roussos – State Treasurer, not regional rep.”, approved Carol Hager, 2nd Julia Roussos

Treasurer’s Report: presented by Cathy Robinson-Sec. /Treas. previous balance: $3,134.08 from Oct. 31, 2012 statement; check(s) total: $372.60, deposits: $-0-, interest earned: $-0-, total: from Dec. 31, 2012 statement $2,761.48

NEW BUSINESS/ANNOUNCMENTS: Mary Ann Lukowich resigned at CE Program Coordinator- thank you Mary Ann for a wonderful year of presentations! Victoria Bocann has agreed to complete the term ending in January 2014.

. Legislation towards Full Practice Authority. (PCNP president Mary Verderame is working with Sen. Vance – it will go through senate analysis and then details to be shared with our membership when it can be modified if needed.

. Encourage Membership

 6,700 NP’s in PA NOT members.

 8,000 NP’s total in Pennsylvania

. Kathy Magdic (Vice President of PCNP) had a stroke send your prayers and thoughts with her during her recovery, scheduled to return to work 1/14/2013.

o horror stories in the recent news concerning NP who are not aware of recent changes in practice – THIS IS WHY THEY NEED TO BECOME A MEMBER - $100.00 per year and %50.00 for students/retired

 Susan Schrand, Executive Director and Lori Martin Plank are partnering with nursing schools for town hall meetings
