6.40 pm Game: El Gato Y El Raton (The Cat and the Nil Mouse) - Origin (Puerto Rico) Select one Joey as the mouse and one as the cat. The rest of the Joeys hold hands in a circle. The mouse is inside the circle, the cat is outside the circle. The cat tries to catch the mouse, and the Joeys that are forming the circle help the mouse avoid capture. 6.50 pm Game: Plant Beans, Reap Beans - origin (Hong Paper plates or hoops, Kong) "beans" Divide the Joeys into two teams. Arrange teams in relay formation. Pile the "beans" at the feet Set up craft activity of the first Joey in each team. Place 5 paper plates opposite each team some distance away. On go the first Joey in each team places a "bean" on a paper plate. The same Joey returns to collect another bean to be placed on a different plate. This continues until all the beans have been "planted". The next Joey, then "reaps" the beans one at a time. Continue until all Joeys have had a turn. 7.00 pm Craft: Chinese New Year Lights Cups, black permanent Joeys make a Chinese New Year Light from a markers, red tissue paper, plastic cup. craft glue, tape, paint brushes, gold tinsel, battery Cover tables with sheets of paper prior to operated tea light candle, starting the craft. The Joey chosen as "it", walks around the circle and pretends to leave the ball in the hands of each Joey. When the ball is left in someone's hands, the Joey who now has the ball tries to leave the circle while the two Joeys positioned next to him try and catch him, but these neighbouring Joeys may not leave their spots. If the Joey with the ball escapes, he becomes the new "it".
