Teacher Appreciation Week Celebrated: National Teacher Appreciation week was celebrated on May 5-9th. The PTSA honored the wonderful TCA teachers with a special treat every day. Monday: breakfast provided from Majestic Donuts Tuesday: tickets for our upcoming Stone Jug BBQ dinner Wednesday: lunch provided from Mareta's Deli Thursday: Fresh Produce gift cards Friday: TCA bag with supplies Each morning Mr. Schmitt drew a name for a gift card from one of the following businesses: Oak Ridge, Downstairs on First, Tri City Frocke Shoppe, Hobby Lobby and Joey's Sausage and Deli. PTSA was able to fund this with money raised through Market Day, box tops, etc. We are truly blessed to have such wonderful teachers!!

Market Day Co-Chair Needed: TCA is fortunate in having Rici Dale as our Market Day Coordinator for many years. Unfortunately, the 2014-2015 school year will be Rici’s last year as our Market Day Coordinator as her son will be graduating from TCA. We are looking for someone to co-chair this fundraiser for the 2014-2015 school year and eventually become the new coordinator. Please email the school at [email protected] if you are interested in helping us out. Thank you!!! Box Tops: Our school just received a check in the amount of $353.88 for Box Tops collected. Thank you for all of your support in this fundraiser!!

7 th Grade State History Fair!! Congratulations to Drezdan Dale, Alec Nawa, Marisa Piano, Aiden Repsel and Clair Pangrcic who competed in the State History Fair in Springfield on May 8th. Way to represent TCA!!! We are all proud of you!! TCA Graduation Dates: 8th Grade Graduation: Wednesday, May 21st @ 7:00 p.m. St. Hyacinth’s Church Preschool Graduation: Friday, May 23rd @ 10:00 a.m. Holy Rosary Church Basement Kindergarten Graduation: Tuesday, May 27th 9:15 a.m. at Holy Rosary Church. There will be a reception in the Church basement following the graduation.

Illinois State Recognition Visit: TCA was fully evaluated and has been assigned the recognition status of Fully Recognized for the 2013-2014 School Year!! Emmaus Days: Attention 7th & 8th Grade Boys!! Emmaus Days will be held at St. Bede Academy July 9th through July 11th.

New Gym Floor Fund - We Are Less Than $10,000 Away From Our Goal!!!!: Wow!!! Such at exciting time at TCA!! We are over half way to our goal of $30,000 with $22,645 to date!!! We earned $5,000 from our 5K!! We received a generous donation of $5,000 from Fairmont Minerals!! This also includes donations from: In Memory of Al Slatner, The Dr. Merle Pacenti Family, Mr. & Mrs. Jack Wayland Steve Hammerich, The Mike Pangrcic Family, The Shawn Koehler Family, O.J. Stoutner, Marie Gorishek, James Arkins, Diane Marchesi, Judy Raccuglia, Ken & Arlene Kwit, Linda & Lucy Kleczewski, The Lauer Family, Wal-Mart Distribution through Maria DeLaTorre’s Volunteer Work Hours.

Fundraising:

Taco Dinner: A Huge Thank You to Amber Engels for all of her hard work in organizing the Taco Dinner. A heartfelt thank you to the Sanchez Families, Sarabia Family, Sara Legrenzi, Julee Nawa, Niki Hurst all of committee members and everyone who worked the dinner. The dinner was a huge success earning a profit of approximately $1,700!!! Thank You!!

Used Uniform Sale – Thank You Chrisi Piano: A heartfelt thank you to Chrisi Piano for organizing and working the Used Uniform Sale. Your hard work is appreciated!!
