Have I stated the purpose of the lab or question to Question/Purpose be answered during the lab in complete sentenced? Is my hypothesis in the “If…,then…” format? Have I put my independent variable after “If” and Experimental Hypothesis my dependent variable after “then”? Is my prediction based on what we have been learning in class? Have I given an accurate description of each material? Materials Have I included a quantity of each material (with units if necessary)? Have I included a control test in my procedure? Have I included multiple trials of my independent variable? Procedures Is each step of my procedure on a separate line? Have I numbered each step and written in complete sentences? Does each step start with a verb? Have I used a ruler for all data tables and graphs? Do my tables and graphs have titles, labels, and Data units? Is my graph a TALKER? Have I clearly communicated my qualitative observations for each trial? Complete sentences!
