SNHU Pool Memberships

SNHU Pool Memberships

SNHU offers pool memberships to the general public. Pool memberships are for the pool only and do not include access to any other athletic facilities at SNHU.

Memberships may be purchased in the SNHU Athletics Administration Office Monday – Friday 8:30 am – 7:00 pm and Saturday-Sunday 12:00 pm – 4:00 pm when classes are in session. Office hours are Monday – Friday 8:00 am – 4:30 pm when classes are not in session. We suggest that you call the office in advance (603.645.9604) to make sure that the office is open and that someone is available to make up pool passes.

Pool memberships are available to either individuals and/or families for periods of one month, 6 months and 1 year. There are no daily rates.

Family memberships are for members of one’s immediate family (spouse/domestic partner and dependents under 26) who reside with the pass purchaser.

Pool hours vary and are subject to change without advance notice. Hours are contingent upon the availability of staffing, campus programming and weather considerations.

The pool will close during electric storms. It will remain closed for 30 minutes after the last thunder is heard and/or the last lightning seen. The pool may also be closed during snow emergencies.

The pool is closed on all major holidays (Memorial Day, July 4, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years.) The pool may also be closed during major campus wide events. No credit is offered for closures on Holidays and will be offered only when the pool is closed for extended periods (for maintenance, cleaning and/or mechanical issues.) Credit may also be granted for certain documented medical conditions and will be determined on a case by case basis.

Pool hours are not flexible. Swimmers are expected to leave the pool without prompting at the end of the session. No swimmers will be allowed in the pool within the last 20 minutes of the session.

Pool hours may be found on line at http://snhupenmen.com/RecreationComplexSchedule.pdf

A lifeguard is on duty at all times that the pool is open. We request your cooperation in respecting all posted rules/regulations as well as the lifeguard’s directives. Members should not enter the pool if the lifeguard is not present.

The lifeguard is responsible for the safe operation of the pool. He/She is not responsible for watching children while their parents/guardians are swimming. Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied and supervised by an adult at all times. All members must present their pool pass to the lifeguard on duty upon entering the pool area.

Pool members may use the General locker rooms, which offer showers and daily use lockers. Members may use a lock while they are using the pool; however, no locks may remain on the lockers overnight. SNHU is not responsible for lost or stolen items, or locks left on daily use lockers.

Parking is available in the lot in front of the building, the lot on the east side of River Road and behind the athletic complex in designated parking spots (i.e. a lined parking spot). We request your cooperation in refraining from parking on the grass and in areas which are not clearly designated (by painted lines) for parking. Vehicles parked illegally may be subject to ticketing and towing.

SNHU will not complete or prepare paperwork/documentation/verification for health insurance (workers compensation etc.) companies indicating that the pool holder participates in the SNHU pool program.

Pool passes are not transferable.

A $25 replacement fee will be charged for each lost/mutilated card.

Pool memberships are a privilege and may be revoked at the discretion of SNHU for misuse

I understand that swimming is a HAZARDOUS activity. I recognize that there are risks inherent in the sport of swimming, including but not limited to paralyzing injuries and death.

I have carefully read the information above and agree to these conditions.
