Community Development: #11 Award agreement with CT Consultants, in amount of $7,300 for design, bid documents and contract oversight and inspections for a CDBG funded street improvement project on Johns Street & Camden Court, Kipton Village and will be paid from Acct#contract serv

Amend Res#14-764, adopted December 10, 2014 awarding agreements with Partners Environmental Consulting, Inc., and Hull & Associates Inc., to conduct activities for the USEPA Brownfield assessment grants. Said amendment is to reflect incorrect account number should be Acct#contractual/purchased serv

Solid Waste: #14 Approve issuance of waivers from designation pursuant to standard form of Waiver agreement effective March 1, 2015 – February 28, 2016 for Fabrizi Disposal, Inc., Rumpke, Waste Management or Ohio, Inc., FSI Disposal and Kimble Recycling and Disposal. This is due to flow control of muni solid waste and level solid waste fee for all MSW haulers in the county

#15. Approve contract with ERG Environmental Services, Bowling Green for operation of the lamp & ballast collection and recycling program for 2015. 2 proposals were received on December 9 this being the most responsive complying with specifications and has 2 year renewal option to be paid from Acct#fluorescent recycling

Engineer: #16 Advertise for 2015 Chip & Seal Program. Notice to be in Chronicle on March 13 & 20 and opened at 2 pm on March 31.

#17 Approve & enter into a LPA agreement with ODOT to repair and resurface Lake Avenue from Parmely Street to Griswold and from Elyria Ave., to N. Ridge Rd., Elyria Township; Authorize Engineer to execute on behalf of the Board with Prosecutors approval as to form. Project is being paid by federal funding assistance from NOACA

#18. Accept petition and landowner’s agreement and determine to proceed with the construction of Redfern Road, Columbia Township force main sanitary sewer improvement #122 within the Lorain County General Sewer District

Treasurer: #19. Authorize payment of $200 due to a shortage in the Treasurer’s office due to counterfeit currency received during real estate tax collection to be paid from Acct#misc other expenses

#6. Sheriff thanked the Fraternal Order of Columbia Eagles for their kind donation in amount of $3000. This is not the first time they have donated and these monies will help DARE Program, Wellness Program as well as Child ID program and some needed equipment.

#8. Lorain County Sheriff Stammitti issues appeal to citizens in fight against crime. Citizens are being invited to become associate members of the Buckeye State Sheriff’s Association as low as $20 and funding provides critically important technical resources training and legislative support on key criminal issues.
