Using Transitions in Paragraphs
When writing paragraphs it is important to use complete sentences. A sentence expresses a complete thought. Also, it is IMPORTANT to help the reader by providing TRANSITION WORDS. Transitions guide the reader through your writing and ideas: like a map helps you find your way in a strange city. If you need to, refer back to the PPT Notes on transitions.
Instructions: Fill in the gaps with the appropriate words to link the paragraphs. Remember that the topic of one paragraph should follow logically from the topic of the last paragraph and should lead on to the topic of the next paragraph. Use the TRANSITION WORD BOX to help you. There is more than one possible answer for most of the blanks. Boldface your answer.
