Job Overview
Drexel University's Implant Research Center was established to study the mechanical, biological, and chemical behavior of orthopedic implants retrieved from various anatomical locations.
We are currently seeking a self-motivated and hard- working individual to participate in and coordinate student training and mentor in tissue processing, sectioning, immunohistochemistry, microscopy, implant wear particle isolation, SEM and quantitative biomarker discovery (Western analysis, qPCR) for multiple retrieval projects.

Qualifications
Ph.D. Required.
Minimum of four years' experience in a laboratory setting is required.
Previous immunohistological experience.
A strong publication record and show strong potential for obtaining external funding.
Essential Functions
The qualified candidate will be required to process human tissue collected from revised hip, knee, and spine orthopaedic implants. This position will also involve clinical data collection and analysis. This individual will also be responsible for maintaining proper quantities of supplies and regulatory documentation and participate in data analysis, interpretation and data reporting for the immunohistolopathology lab.
The ideal candidate must have strong analytical skills, outstanding written and oral communication skills, along with the ability to work under critical time deadlines, establish priorities, and interact with all levels of personnel.
