(1) Principles of Emergency Management:

Received yesterday from the graphics section here at EMI a mock-up of the Principles of Emergency Management one-page Statement of Principles which incorporates the logos from:

FEMA/DHS International Emergency Managers Association National Emergency Management Association National Fire Protection Association Emergency Management Accreditation Program

The Statement of EM Principles also includes the National Emergency Management logo sponsored by NEMA, IAEM, and FEMA/DHS.

The graphic mock-up, suitable for framing, is now being reviewed prior to going to print final. A next-to-final draft version of the EM Principles Statement, as well as a longer “White Paper” on the Principles of Emergency Management, produced by the Emergency Management Roundtable, can be accessed at: http://training.fema.gov/EMIWeb/edu/emprinciples.asp

(2) Private Sector Oriented Table-Top Exercise on Pandemic Influenza:

Received recently from The Capital Area Chapter [FL] of the American Red Cross a copy of “Outbreak Anarchy – A Business Influenza Pandemic Tabletop Exercise”. The email noted that 73 business and community leaders participated in this first run of the tabletop.
