WILLIS M. ROSS OF RICHLAND 12 COUNTY ON HIS RETIREMENT FROM THE GOODYEAR 13 TIRE AND RUBBER COMPANY, AND EXTENDING BEST 14 WISHES TO HIM FOR A HEALTHY AND FRUITFUL 15 RETIREMENT. 16 17 Whereas, Mr. Willis M. Ross of Richland County is a graduate of 18 Columbia High School and attended the University of South 19 Carolina; and 20 21 Whereas, he honorably served his country for three years as a 22 member of the United States Army; and 23 24 Whereas, for the past twenty-seven years he has been happily 25 married to Mrs. Anne Henry Ross, who is both a Certified Public 26 Accountant with J. W. Hunt and Company and Chairman of the 27 State Board of Accountancy; and 28 29 Whereas, the Ross’ are the proud parents of two children: Stephen, 30 a junior who attends A. C. Flora High School; and Jennifer, a 31 sophomore who attends the University of South Carolina; and 32 33 Whereas, he is a member of Sherwood Forest Associate Reformed 34 Presbyterian Church where he serves as an Ordained Deacon; and 35 36 Whereas, since 1964 he has been employed with the Goodyear 37 Tire and Rubber Company where he has held numerous positions 38 which include: Assistant Store Manager, Store Manager, Service 39 Manager, and General Service - Credit Manager; and 40 41 Whereas, the members of the General Assembly note that Mr. 42 Ross is retiring from employment with the Goodyear Tire and

1 [5148] 1 1 Rubber Company after more than twenty-five years of devoted 2 service; and 3 4 Whereas, it is appropriate for the members of the General 5 Assembly to pause in their deliberations to honor this 6 distinguished son of South Carolina. Now, therefore, 7 8 Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate 9 concurring: 10 11 That the members of the General Assembly of the State of South 12 Carolina, by this resolution, congratulate Mr. Willis M. Ross of 13 Richland County, on the occasion of his retirement from the 14 Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company, and extend best wishes to 15 him for a healthy and fruitful retirement. 16 17 Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to 18 Mr. Willis M.
