Listed below are generic job descriptions from DOL. Since the job qualifications, duties, and responsibilities are defined in each SOW, these descriptions are not meant to be all-inclusive.

27101: GUARD I

Carries out instructions primarily oriented toward insuring that emergencies and security violations are readily discovered and reported to appropriate authority. Intervenes directly only in situations which require minimal action to safeguard property or persons. Duties require minimal training.

27102: GUARD II

Enforces regulations designed to prevent breaches of security. Exercises judgment and use discretion in dealing with whether first response should be to intervene directly (asking for assistance when deemed necessary and time allows), to keep situation under surveillance, or to report situation so that it can be handled by appropriate authority. Duties require specialized training in methods and techniques of protecting security areas. Commonly, the guard is required to demonstrate continuing physical fitness and proficiency with firearms or other special weapons.

27010: COURT SECURITY OFFICER

Patrols courthouse to provide security. Escorts defendants to and from courtroom, and stands guard during court proceedings. Checks courtroom for security. Assignments include not only the monitoring of entrances to the court but also attention to the special needs of the court system, particularly in the area of personal protection for the judges, jurors, witnesses, attorneys and other persons involved with the court, including the general public. Duties require specialized training in methods and techniques of protecting security areas. Is required to demonstrate continuing physical fitness and proficiency with firearms or other special weapons.

SUPERVISOR

The Supervisor job is not covered by a Wage Determination and the price may fluctuate depending on the requirements in the SOW. Typically the Supervisor works productive hours on the contract. Other duties may include coordinating with the scheduler to ensure full coverage at all client locations, inspecting officers on post, verifying post orders, effectively communicating with the client and security guards, and numerous other tasks as assigned.

PROJECT MANAGER

The Project Manager is not a job that is covered by a Wage Determination and therefore the price may fluctuate depending on the requirements that are set forth in the SOW. The Project Manager serves as the primary point of contact for all issues. Duties include overseeing all aspects of the contract, such as recruiting, training, discipline, etc.

ASST. PROJECT MANAGER

The Assistant Project Manager job is also not covered by a Wage Determination and therefore the price may fluctuate depending on the requirements in the SOW. The Assistant Project Manager serves as a backup point of contact for the client and is knowledgeable in all aspects of the contract. The duties are more administrative in nature and allow the Project Manager to focus on larger issues.
