NOTICE OF INTERVENTION BY THE AMERICAN POSTAL WORKERS UNION, AFL-CIO

The American Postal Workers Union, AFL-CIO (“APWU”) submits this Notice of Intervention pursuant to section 20 of the rules of practice. In accordance with that rule, APWU states as follows:

1. The persons who are to receive the service of documents relating to the above-captioned proceedings on behalf of APWU are:

2. The APWU is recognized as the exclusive collective bargaining representative of postal employees in the clerk, maintenance, and motor vehicle service crafts nationwide, pursuant to 39 U.S.C. §1203, and is certified by the NLRB as the bargaining representative of employees in several non-mail processing units pursuant to the same section of the Act. In accordance with §1206 of the Act, the APWU has entered into successive, nationwide collective bargaining agreements with the United States Postal Service. The proposed changes will have an effect on APWU- represented postal workers. The APWU intends to participate actively in all hearings and other aspects of this proceeding.
