JOB OPENING Oklahoma County District Attorney’s Office Victim Compensation Advocate

The victim compensation advocate works closely one on one with victims of violent crime in assisting them with the filing of compensation claims. Applicant must have the desire to work with victims and to work within the criminal justice system. Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills are required. Responsibilities include working with the billing departments of service providers such as hospitals, doctor offices, funeral homes, and counselors, verifying out of pocket financial loss and obtaining reports from Law Enforcement agencies. Basic computer skills are necessary. Hours are Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Salary is $1,800.00 per month plus benefit package
