3D Thrushcross Grange or Wuthering Heights Info Sheet with Rubric

If the novel Wuthering Heights had a 3-D representation of one of its settings, what would that model look like? Here is your opportunity to express your creativity in combining the novel with your “artistic” talents.

Requirements and Guidelines:  Pick either Wuthering Heights or Thrushcross Grange to design a 3D representation.  The 3D representation needs to include key elements that Emily Bronte describes her setting with in the novel. For example, Thrushcross Grange would have gold trim, red velvet, etc.  You need to create your setting on a sturdy surface to avoid the project falling apart. You may use cardboard, a wooden board, etc.  You may use an assortment of materials – paint, clay, fabric, beads, wood, glass, etc.  The project must be 3D. Failure to meet this requirement will result in a 10 point deduction.  The project will be a minimum of 14” x 14”. Failure to meet this requirement is a 10 point deduction.  I will take up to 10 points off for grammatical errors, so please proof your work.  This project is a major test grade; therefore, the project needs to reflect time and effort worthy of a test grade.  Projects may be turned in before 10/9/13 for 5 points extra credit. There will be a 10 point deduction per day late (10/10 – 10 points off, 10/11 – 20 points off, and 10/14 – 30 points off). No projects will be accepted past 10/14/13.  If you need help with your project or supplies, get with me early – not the day before the project is due.  The rubric needs to be turned in with the project.
