Welcome Everyone Marcia Goodrich, PCO Chair, welcomed everyone and thanked Kelly Simon and the ACH Pediatric department for the wonderful lunch. Marcia also welcomed and introduced all the new coordinators: Dustin Foster – Pediatric Emergency Medicine Tammy Taylor – ACH ENT

Info from the DIO: Ann Norwood handed out an updated time line for ACGME Outcome Project. Phase II – Sharpening the Focus and definition of the competencies and assessment tools is complete. While consideration is being given on how to provide information concerning Phase III – Full Integration of the competencies and their assessment with learning and clinical care – If you would like a copy of this hand out, please contact Ann Norwood.

New Innovation Updates: The process is in motion to standardize the rotation names. More training sessions will also be available with Anna Moses.

Annual GME Survey: November 20th was the deadline for submitting any changes to the GME survey.

Northwest Arkansas Initiative: Plans are underway to expand the residency and undergraduate programs to Northwest Arkansas. These will include Surgery, Internal Medicine, OB/Gyn and Pediatrics. These new programs will remain under the UAMS DIO.

Subcommittee Report: Mentors for New Coordinators Linda Lindsey gave an update and handed out a copy of the mission statement for her subcommittee: Mentors for New Coordinators. If you would like a copy of this hand out or would like to volunteer to serve on this committee, please contact Linda Lindsey.

Campus and City Resources: Renee Gordon presented useful information on Campus and City Resources. ERAS – Getting the most out of ERAS Linda Lindsey gave a brief overview of ERAS (Electronic Residency Application Service) and answered questions. If you have any questions or need more information, please email Linda Lindsey.

On the agenda for next month: Stress and how to deal with it and how to relieve it will be presented at the December PCO meeting.
