Hello to all Late Great Members: The club is gearing up for another fun-filled active year. As you probably are aware if you have been keeping up with the club’s activities through the monthly newsletter that over the last several years we have been very involved in supporting certain worthwhile functions through providing manpower as well as charitable donations. Worthy charitable donations this past year included the Cruise For A Cause, Holiday Family, Damascus Lion’s Club, Rotary Club and the Volunteer Fire Department. We realize that many of you can not participate in many of the LGC club events because of personal commitments, work commitments or geographic obstacles since our club covers the entire state of Maryland. We do value your input and your help in any way possible. We are hoping that you will support your club and charities by helping again with this year’s fundraiser raffle. Damascus Chevrolet has generously donated to the club a VALVOLINE Nascar Gas-Powered Replica Race Car to use as a fundraiser. The winner will be drawn on Saturday, July 12, 2008 at the “Celebrate Damascus” dance. (For dance tickets, call Richard at 301-253-3464). Donations are $1.00 per ticket, or 6 tickets for $5.00. Enclosed are 12 raffle tickets. We hope that you can support the club by selling this nominal amount of chances. If additional tickets are needed, please contact us and we will send them to you immediately. If you are unable to sell any of the tickets, please return them by June 30, 2008 so we may use them at the cruise-in and the dance. Thanking you in advance for your support.
