We are honored to invite You to 4th CROATIA OPEN TAEKWON-DO CHAMPIONSHIP that will be held in RIJEKA – CROATIA on 14th October 2006

Competition will be organized for:

JUNIORS: MALE AND FEMALE UP TO 15 YEARS OLD ( the oldest born in 1992)

JUNIORS: MALE AND FEMALE 15 TO 18 YEARS OLD ( the oldest born in 1988)

The Year of birth will be identified by the passport.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

PLACE: Sports Hall «DVORANA MLADOSTI» in Rijeka, TRSAT,Viktora Bubnja bb (The same Hall hosted European Championships 2003)

ORGANIZER: Taekwon-do club «RIJEKA» Rijeka

ENTRY FEE: 15,00 EUR, paid on the day of tournament

REFEREES: Every club must provide 1 (one) referee. The club that intends to come without a referee must inform the organizer and pay 50 EUR on the day of tournament. The organizer will provide lunch and refreshments for all referees.

COACHES: Coaches have to wear training suit and indoor gymnastic shoes. Thay have to consider every instruction that was given to them from organizer.

RULES: It will be held according to the rules and regulations of ITF. Each competitor will compete at his own risk.

PROTEST: The official protest note must be written in 3 minutes after sparring and get to Jury president after paying an amount of 25 EUR to organizers official.

DRAFT: Draft will be performed on 13th October 2006. WEIGHT checking: On the day of tournament. Any participant overweighing division limit will be transferred to higher division and for such participant entry fee will be 25 EUR.

PRIZES: Medals will be awarded for: 1st, 2nd and 2 x 3rd place individuals. Specials awards for 3 best clubs and best competitors (trophy and extra gift).

SPARRING: JUNIORS UP TO 15 YEARS OLD

MALE: - 25 kg, - 30 kg, - 35 kg, - 40 kg, - 45 kg, - 50 kg, - 55 kg, + 55 kg FEMALE: - 25 kg, - 30 kg, - 35 kg, - 40 kg, - 45 kg – 50 kg, + 50 kg

JUNIORS 15 TO 18 YEARS OLD

MALE: - 52 kg, - 58 kg, - 63 kg, - 70 kg, + 70 kg. FEMALE: - 42 kg, - 48 kg, - 53 kg, - 60 kg, + 60

Sparring duration: 1 x 3 minutes qualifications 2 x 2 minutes finals

PATTERNS: YELLOW BELTS - from Chong Ji to Dan Gun GREEN BELTS - from Chong Ji to Won Hyo BLUE BELTS - from Chong Ji to Joon Gun RED BELTS - from Chong Ji to Hwa Rang BLACK BELTS 1st DAN - from Chong Ji to Ge Baek BLACK BELTS 2nd DAN and above - from Chong Ji to Ju Che

Qualifications: The Jury designated Tull. Finals: Second Tull on competitor 's choice.

Rijeka is one of the largest towns in Croatia. It's situated in the north-west part of the Adriatic coast. It's well connected with all European largest towns. Distance from Croatia's capital city Zagreb to Rijeka is 170 km and there are excellent connections by train, by bus or by car using the new highway. Anyhow, most of You participated on European Championships in Rijeka 2003 and we hope You have a good memory to find the same Sport hall «DVORANA MLADOSTI» Trsat – Rijeka.
