Thank you for your interest in Catholic Charities, Visitation Place apartments. We have 1, 2 and 3 bedroom apartments with amenities such as a washer and dryer in each unit, a dishwasher, two a/c units, secure entry, security-monitored premises, a community room and a playground.

Tenant Qualifications 1. Family Configuration and Size: Families must have a minimum of one (1) members and a maximum of six (6) members, depending on unit size. 2. Income: Household income must meet the minimum annual income affordability limits and not exceed the maximum annual income limits.

Minimum income limits are waived when the household receives a subsidy from Section 8 or another subsidy source which covers the full rent when combined with the tenant’s portion. At any point should the subsidy end, the head of household is responsible for full rent. 3. Criminal Background: No violent crimes against persons or property or other behavior which would jeopardize the health, safety or welfare of other persons including: murder, manslaughter, criminal sexual conduct, assault, harassment or stalking, arson or recent criminal history related to the sale or distribution of narcotics. 4. Rental/Housing History: No recent and significant history of not paying rent on a timely basis. No recent and significant history of lease infractions or evictions. 5. Management Approval: Management reserves the right to refuse any applicant on good cause.

Tenant Preferences o Households that receive a rent subsidy

Application Process 1. Complete the attached Housing Request Form and fax, mail or deliver to Visitation Place, 1034 Lafond Avenue, St. Paul, MN 55104 Fax: 651-917-7086. 2. You will be sent a letter indicating if you qualify for the Waiting Pool. 3. If you are approved for the Waiting Pool, you must call 651-647-2550 by the 7th of every month to remain in the Waiting Pool. Your contact and income information should be updated at this time as well. 4. When there is a unit available, those in the Waiting Pool are contacted based on eligibility, preference points and in the order their Housing Request Form was received. A meeting will be scheduled to complete an application and other required paperwork to check your background and verify household income and assets. You must bring a government-issued ID card & Social Security Card to this meeting. 5. A $20 application fee, per adult, is required at the time of the meeting. The fee will be applied to a Rental, Credit and Criminal History background check. 6. Applicants are notified once all verification and background checks are complete. If approved for the unit, a lease signing and move-in date will be determined.
