Instructions for Creating Your Custom AE Career Fair Name Tag

Instructions for Creating Your Own Custom AE Career Fair Name Badge

1. Edit and fill in the template below with your name and any descriptors you like relative to your area of specialization or type of position you are looking for (Structural Option, 3rd Year AE, Civil Engineering Graduate Student, etc.). 2. Feel free to customize the tag as you prefer, but make sure your name is displayed prominently. 3. Print out the form on plain white paper. 4. Cut out the name tag. In order for your name badge to fit in the plastic badge holders we will provide, you must cut it out between the lines of the double border lines. 5. Bring your custom badge to the Jordan Center on October 19, the day of the AE Career Fair. 6. Go direct to the Student Registration Table just inside GATE B where you will be able to pick up a plastic badge holder. Place your name badge in the holder. Use the spring clip on the plastic holder or optional lanyard provided to wear the badge during the event. 7. Be sure to print your badge in advance and remember to bring it (along with copies of your resume) to the Career Fair. There will NOT be an opportunity to print custom badges at the career fair. There will be paper forms that you can hand letter if you forget your badge or if you prefer not to use this form.

Special Notes:

1. Fifth Year Seniors (BAE and BAE/MAE students in Senior Thesis Class this year) will have pre-printed badges available to pick up at the student registration table. There will also be ribbons to identify you as a “Senior” and a color coded ribbon to identify your option. 2. AE Graduate Students (MEng., MS, PhD) will have preprinted name tags available to pick up at the student registration table. There will be a “Graduate Student” ribbon for you to attach. 3. Because there is not a reliable list for identifying returning MAE students (5 ½ year etc.), you should use the template and create your own badge. Ribbons will be available at the student registration table to identify your Option. 4. Please use the template below and print out a badge. Pre-printed name tags will NOT be available at the Career Fair. Name badges/lanyards will be provided at the AE Career Fair student registration tables.
