PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE American Greetings Brooklyn, OH 1999 – 2007 Secretary to Executive Director  Began as a temporary employee in the Sales Training department supporting the Field Sales Hiring Manger.  Hired three months later by the Manager of Sales Training after designing a unique”training aid graphic”.  Advanced to position of Administrative Assistant for the Director of Sales Training in January 2000.  Expanded my skills and knowledge of company processes resulting in promotion to Secretary to Executive Director of Sales Administration in 2004.  Duties included creation of confidential presentations utilizing PowerPoint, composing documents, mail merges and template design in Word; spreadsheet manipulation, formula and macro design in Excel.  Designed an Access “ScoreCard” database to evaluate Field Sales Associates compliance to corporate “best practices” to improve the company’s quality of service.  Created and maintained departments’ webpage on the corporate intranet using Contribute software.  Organized calendars, travel, meetings and expense reporting for multiple Directors in a fast-paced environment.  “Unofficial” computer trainer in many departments based on advanced experience. Cleveland, OH 1992-1996 Applications Specialist  Traveled to customer sites to install customized version of WordPerfect 5.1, 61, Quark Xpress for MACs, communication packages and train customers to design and transmit weekly publications.  Provided tech support and training on issues involving software, hardware and userware.  Developed customizations of new versions of software to provide company with a solution to the problem of existing macros being incompatible with upgraded software.
