RE: CERTIFICATE OF APPROPRIATENESS UNDER THE PROVISIONS OF THE ACT OF THE PENNSYLVANIA LEGISLATURE 1961, JUNE 13, P.L. 282 (53 SECTION 8004) AND BETHLEHEM ORDINANCE NO. 3952 AS AMENDED.

WHEREAS, it is proposed to install vinyl signage in the first floor window at 416 East Fourth Street.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Bethlehem that a Certificate of Appropriateness is hereby granted for the work.

CASE # 474 – It is proposed to install vinyl signage in the first floor window at 416 East Fourth Street OWNER/APPLICANT: Matador Holdings LLC / Jason Brody

The Commission upon motion by Mr. Roeder seconded by Ms. Starbuck adopted the proposal that City Council issue a Certificate of Appropriateness for the proposed work described herein:

1. The proposal to install vinyl signage in the first floor window at 416 East Fourth was presented by Jason Brody.

1. The window graphics will be white and the height of the lettering will be adjusted and condensed so that no more than 40% of the display window is covered with signage as required by zoning.

2. The text on the left side will read "Mobile Genius; Smartphone & Tablet Repair; iPhone Repair; iPad Repair; iPod Repair; Android Repair; Water Damage; Screen Repairs." The text on the right side will read "Top Rated; Buy-Sell-Trade; Cash Paid For; Electronics; Gold & Silver; Tools; Collectibles; Games & DVDs; We Pay The Most!"

3. It is recommended to put the business names at the top of the windows and the services at the bottom as drawn by the Historic Officer at the meeting.

4. A mock-up/drawing must be reviewed by the Historic Officer prior to issuing the permit.

5. The proposed motion was unanimously approved.
