7th ANNUAL PUMPKIN PLUNGE MINI MEET Sunday – November 17th, 2013

Location: Thomas McKean High School 301 McKeannan’s Church Rd Wilmington, DE 19808

Facility: Thomas McKean High School has a 25 yard six lane pool. A Colorado System 5 timing system and single lane scoreboard will be used. Mezzanine seating will be available for spectators. Host team will stage swimmers in the gymnasium. Ample parking is available in the school lot. A snack bar will be available for refreshments.

Entries: Swimmers may compete in a maximum of 4 Individual Events, and 2 relays.

The Host Team reserves the right to limit entries, events, or heats, or to modify the meet format to keep the meet within a reasonable time line. Swimmers/teams eliminated from the meet due to time or space constraints will be given a full refund.

Eligibility: This is a closed YMCA meet. All swimmers must be members of a YMCA swim team. Swimmer’s who are 9 years old or younger on December 1, 2013 are eligible.

Entry Fee: Individual Events: $ 5.00 Relay Events: $16.00 Swimmer Surcharge $7.00

Deck Entries: Deck entries will be accepted if room permits for a fee. $10.00 per individual swim and $20.00 per relay.

Format: Warm Ups – 7:30am – 8:50am *Warm up schedule will be emailed out to all teams the week leading up to the meet.

Meet Starts – 9:00 am.

Warm-up and meet start times may be subject to change depending upon the number of entries. If changes must be made, all teams will be notifies as soon as possible. Entry Deadline: Entries must be received by 5:00pm Friday, November 1st, 2013.

Please submit entries via email to Cynthia Jones-Taddei at [email protected] by the deadline. Entry times should be submitted in short course yards. All entries should be submitted using Hytek software. In the event Hytek software is unavailable the attached Meet Entry Form must be used. Entries submitted manually will be assessed a $20 per swimmer fee in addition to regular event fees. A completed Meet Summary Form should accompany all emailed and mailed entries.

Awards: Medals will be awarded to places 1st through 3rd. Ribbons will be awarded to places 4th through 12th. All heat winners will receive a prize.

Admission: Admission to the meet for friends and family members is free.

Rules: This meet will be conducted according to current USA Swimming and YMCA rules. Only currently credentialed coaches, athletes, and essential meet personnel will be permitted on deck. This meet will be conducted using the Whistle command, supplemented with verbal commands, and No-Recall False Start procedures. Swimmers swimming 2nd and 4th in the relays will start in the water.
