Public Workshop Notice: Renewable Net Short Calculation (R.11-05-005) June 12, 2012 California Public Utilities Commission 12 pm – 4 pm 505 Van Ness Avenue, Auditorium (Corner of Van Ness Avenue and McAllister Street) San Francisco

This workshop is part of the Commission’s RPS proceeding (R.11-05-005) as directed in Assigned Commissioner's Ruling Identifying issues and Schedule of Review for 2012 Renewables Portfolio Standard Procurement Plans Pursuant to Public Utilities Code Sections 399.11 et seq. and Requesting Comments on New Proposals (April 5, 2012). Commission staff will be developing a standard methodology for calculating the renewable net short position for regulated utilities. The net short is defined as the amount of new renewable generation necessary for regulated utilities to meet or exceed the renewable target.
