Final Project (to be done in Dreamweaver) Option 1: Create a College site as your final project. Option 2: Create a High School site Option 3: Create a Business web site (selling some product or service.) Option 4: Create a State Tourism site Most Important Criteria for Final Evaluation: Overall Design and Creativity Information Design: Submit in writing (Word document) 1. Overall Goal -- What is the primary message of this Web page? What is this organization trying to communicate? 2. Purpose -- Why do you think this organization wants to share this information? What do they have to gain? 3. Audience -- Whom do you think this organization's message is directed to? Who would want to know this information? Do any of the following factors relate to your audience: age groups, social-economics, geography, gender, education, culture, etc. Interaction Design (you will be graded on the following) 1. Overall Site Organization (You need one main page with at least 5 links to other pages. At least 3 of those pages must be written by you in Dreamweaver and the other 2 can be existing webpages that you link to on the internet.) 2. Navigation: Are there any links or buttons on the home page that make it easy to move to other parts of the Web site and back to the Home page? 3. Flash: Do you have a creative flash Movie that gets your main ideas across, focusing on the highlights of your organization? Presentation Design (you will be graded on the following) 1. Color Scheme (complementary colors, contrasting colors) 2. Fonts (limited, not overdone) 3. Use of Graphics (appropriate, useful pictures, charts, symbols…not corny clipart) 4. Multimedia effect (relates to theme of site…how the flash intro. fits) 5. Arrangement (layout) of graphics, text, etc. (clean and simple, related to theme of site)
