Transitions Ellen Duell is moving to live with her daughter in New York. She writes: On Sunday March 20 my daughter and son-in-law plan to drive here, with their car and a U-Haul small truck, to spend the following few days packing up chosen items to take me to their home to live. They live in Hempstead, NY, which is on Long Island, in the higher middle part of the island. They've been preparing a bedroom, little bathroom with shower, and closet and special shelves for me. With furniture, although we'll be taking my vanity dresser and small chest of drawers and a couple of other things. I came here with all the household items of family life, from beds and chairs and dining furniture to linens, dishes, and many books--including music books. I'll take a few favorites with me to my daughter's home, in the U Haul, and I'm giving the rest to Habitat for Humanity. [email protected]

Laura Hyde writes: Dear YS Friends Meeting, 2 I want to let you all know that I am no longer a part of Quaker Voluntary Service. I had many positive experiences with QVS but ultimately decided it was not the right program for me. I want to thank you all for your emotional, spiritual and financial support you have provided me during QVS and otherwise. I still very much support QVS and believe that the generous donation made by the meeting will continue to help the organization strive towards serving the underserved. Thanks again for your love and support, Laura Hyde
