BASS PRO and Ozark High School 2014 Air Rifle Classic Official Match Program ______The 17th annual BASS PRO Air Rifle Classic will be held 3-4 October 2014 at Ozark High School. This rifle match was started to provide a great opening competition match for area high school rifle teams.

LOCATION: Ozark High School 1350 West Bluff Drive Ozark, Missouri 65721-0166

DATE: 3-4 Oct 2014

SPONSOR: BASS PRO Outdoor World, Springfield, Missouri and hosted by Ozark High School AJROTC.

EVENTS: Position air rifle 3x20 (National Standard Rules), 20 shots in prone, standing, and kneeling fired in that order. There will be no match final.

Conduct of Match: The match will be conducted in accordance with the 2012-2014 National Standard Three-Position Air Rifle Rules. All shooters will compete as individuals. Six AR-5/10 targets are hung at the start of the relay. The positions will be fired in time stages (20 minutes for prone, 25 minutes for standing and 20 minutes for kneeling). A 10 minute sighting and preparation period will be given in each position.

Team Match: There is a four member “paper” team match using scores from the individual competition. Team score cards must be presented to the Range Officer before any team member fires a record shot. A school/club may enter as many teams as they would like.

TIME SCHEDULE:

Friday 3 Oct 2014: Relay 1 (3:30 to 6:00pm) Relay 2 (6:15 to 8:45pm)

Saturday 4 Oct 2014: Relay 3 (8:00 to 10:30am) Relay 4 (10:45 to 1:15pm) Relay 5 (1:30 to 3:45pm) Relay 6 (4:00 to 6:30pm) if needed

Award’s Ceremony (7:00-7:30pm)

Squadding: Teams will be assigned relays based on their request and availability.

Report Time: Teams should report to Ozark High School one hour before the start of their relay. Shooters and coaches should report to the ready line 20 minutes before their relay for a safety and range briefing. Shooters will be called to the firing line/take your positions 15 minutes before the start of their relay time.

Challenge Period: Targets will be ready for challenge approximately 15 minutes after the end of the relay. All scoring will be done by the Orion Scoring System. The challenge period will last for 15 minutes. The start of the challenge period will be announced on the firing range and the challenge area will be in the hallway outside the JROTC classrooms.

EQUIPMENT CLASSES:

* Precision Class: As outlined in rule 4.1.3.

* Open Sporter: Any shooter with more then one year expertise and firing any approved sporter air rifle as outlined in the 2010-2012 National Standard Three-Position Air Rifle Rules. * Basic Sporter: Any shooter with less then one year expertise and equipped with the same rifle as open sporter.

COMPETITION OPEN TO: To all individuals that meet the standards that are outlined in Rule 3.1.2 and it is open to all teams that are in the guide lines of Rule 3.2.1.

RULES: The match will be conducted in accordance with the 2012- 2014 National Standard Three-Position Air Rifle Rules. All shooters will compete as individuals.

AWARDS: Gold, silver, and bronze medals will be awarded to the three top shooters in each of the shooting classes. Trophies will be awarded to the top three teams in each class. The awards will be presented one hour after the last firing relay. Teams do not have to be present to receive awards. Awards will be mailed to winners that are not present.

RANGE LOCATION: From Highway 65 take the Ozark exit (Highway 14) heading east. Take a left at the Ozark Junior High School (1/2 mile from exit). Go up the hill past the football field to the new high school. Park in the south parking lot (it will be marked) and enter the high school in the south doors (the doors will be marked also). We will have guides there to meet you.

ENTRY FEES: The entry fee is $15 for each individual shooter. If checks are used for payment, make them out to Ozark High School JROTC.

Fill up the attached spread sheet and e-mail it to the address below. All shooters should be listed, so the Orion program can be pre- loaded.
