3.NSBT.4 –Read and write numbers through 999,999 in standard form and equations in expanded form— 3.NSBT.5—Compare and order numbers through 999,999 and represent the comparison using the symbols less than, greater than, equal to.

Tuesday—Lesson 1-SW read, write, and identify place value of whole numbers through thousands.  TW discuss vocabulary words—digit, standard form, expanded form,  TW show examples of forms on board—Teacher can use the base ten blocks for examples  TW make an anchor chart—Perry the Robot—See sheet  TW discuss pgs. 9-10 in book

 SW practice by doing pgs. 11-12—TW go over this—Early finishers— practice writing numbers and the form on small white board—

 TW explain pgs. 13-14 for homework

 Dream Box or reflex math on I-pads

Tuesday—Lesson-2--SW use place value to compare numbers—  TW go over Monday’s work  TW review vocb. Words-Less, greater than, equal to (From 2nd grade) –Do activity on TE. Pg. 15A—under vocab. Words--  TW model some numbers by using base ten blocks—You can use the elmo-(work mat-1) or let the students make numbers with the base ten blocks  TSW do pgs. 15-16--orally  TW write a number and have a student to write a number on small white board—Students will compare the 2 numbers  SW practiced on pgs. 17-18—TW go over this  TW explain & assign pgs. 19-20  Dream Box/Reflex math ASSESSMENT: TO, questions HOMEWORK: pgs. 19-20 MATERIALS: Base ten blocks

Wednesday:-- Lesson-3-Students will use a number line & place value to order numbers through thousand—Lesson-3  TSW go over Tuesday’s homework—pgs. 19 & 20  TW do developing vocb. Words—TE. 21A-(do activity as a whole class) —SW create new numbers by rolling a dice and then create new number with the same three numbers---Just do orally—need dices  TSW pgs. 21-22—orally  SW practice—Use white boards or I-pads-(app that is like a white board- ED Creator, Doddle Buddy, Teacher’s Tool)—TW write 3 numbers on board and the students will place them in order  TW explain pgs. 23-24 for independence practice—TW help students that are having trouble—TW go over this--  TW explain & assign –pgs. 25-26—for homework  Dream Box/Reflex math ASSESSMENT: TO, questions HOMEWORK: pgs. 25-26 MATERIALS: dices

Thursday—  TW go over Wednesday’s work  TW review by playing Kahoot on I-pads—Place Value Grade 3  TSW review comparing numbers—TW quickly review by placing 3 numbers on the board—SW discuss how to put in order  TW play game—SW (partners) will take time rolling a dice—SW place that number on the place value chart (White board or I-pad—Student made)—SW continue this until a 2, 3, or 4- digit number is made—TW tell what kind of number to make—After number is made—SW compare the numbers—To earn points—TW write Greatest and Least on 2 separate piece of paper—TW roll them up into a ball—TW then pick a piece of paper and the point will go to what the paper says—I will explain if this doesn’t make sense—  TW explain pgs. 27-28--Check My Progress for homework  Dream Box/Reflex math ASSESSMENT: TO, questions. Check quiz HOMEWORK: pgs. 27-28 MATERIALS:

Friday—Be Assessed  TW go over Thursday’s homework and review for quiz  TW explain and assign quiz—SW complete quiz—  After quiz—Students can practice writing standard, expanded—See sheet (put on elmo)—SW practice on white boards  After everyone has complete their quiz—Practice addition facts for fluency—TW have a relay game with addition facts  TW give a 100 problems to see how many they can do if 5 minutes—If time—SW check sheet  Dream Box/Reflex math ASSESSMENT: TO, questions. Check quiz HOMEWORK: none MATERIALS: quiz, sheet for addition, addition cards
