Main Hotel The working group meetings and Council Meeting will be held at the Hilton Nagoya Hotel. The Hilton Nagoya Hotel is a sophisticated cosmopolitan high tower hotel combined with the ambiance of traditional Japanese atmosphere. The Hilton Hotel is located in downtown, and it is very easy to access. From the Nagoya International Airport it takes about 1 hour by car or 30 minutes by train. Alternate Hotel The Nagoya Kanko Hotel is located along the main avenue Hirokoji-dori and has distinguished 60 years of history, and all the amenities are ready to satisfy the well-traveled guests. Meeting Registration Information - To register for the meetings, please complete the appropriate registration form located on the previous screen of the IAQG website.

The meeting registration fees are:

 USD$0 per person IAQG Team Meetings (Saturday – Wednesday)  USD$250 per person IAQG Council Meeting (Thursday)  USD$200 per person IAQG General Assembly (Friday)

Online meeting registration is open until: 1 October 2012. After 1 October, please register at the IAQG Registration Desk onsite when you arrive at the hotel.

Meeting Schedule Following is a brief schedule. For complete meeting details, see the meeting schedule posted on the previous screen. Please note the meetings scheduled Saturday through Thursday will be held at the Hilton Nagoya. The General Assembly scheduled for Friday will be held at the Port Messe Nagoya (convention center).

General Assembly The General Assembly provides a communications forum with the Aerospace community worldwide to allow them to be briefed and to comment upon IAQG activities and initiatives. All representatives of the Aerospace community are invited to participate in IAQG General Assembly meetings. Performance Excellence Marketplace (PEM) IAQG is offering a Performance Excellence Marketplace (PEM) which will give leading edge aerospace companies the opportunity to show their products and services to the attending IAQG companies and invited suppliers. The PEM will operate from Wednesday October 10 – Friday October 12 and will be open to all attendees of the IAQG meetings. Social Events  Wednesday 10 October – IAQG Night Gala Dinner will be hosted by Kawasaki Heavy Industries, LTD. and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, LTD. The event will be held at The Westin Nagoya Castle Hotel. The dress code is business casual. The group will meet in the hotel lobby and the group will be transported by bus. Nagoya Castle Walking Tour is scheduled before dinner. Please wear comfortable walking shoes for the tour. Please register for the dinner on the IAQG Registration Form located on the previous screen.

 Thursday 11 October – General Assembly Reception will be hosted by SJAC and JAQG at the Hilton Nagoya Hotel. The dress code is business casual. Please register for the General Assembly Reception when completing the meeting registration form.

 Saturday 13 October - Post Tour – :One-day tour of Kyoto(Time 8:00~18:00) A one-day tour of Kyoto is planned for Saturday 13 October.The tour includes;

・Sightseeing of Kinkaku Temple and Kiyomizu Temple(UNESCO World Heritage Sites) ・Lunch at Japanese(to-fu) restaurant. ・Shopping at craft center. ・Bus transportation from and returning to the Hilton hotel. Fee:JPY5,000 (For payment, please complete “Credit Card Authorization Form” and send it to [email protected] Maximum participants:40 persons. (“first-come-first-served” basis) Please see the following pdf for itinerary.

Travel Planning

 Visa/Letter of Invitation – Please contact your local consulate to determine if you will need a visa for entry into Japan. For information on obtaining a letter of invitation, please contact KNT at [email protected] or 81-52-583-8331.

 Weather – he weather in Nagoya can be quite nice in October. The average maximum temperature is 22°C (72°F), the average minimum temperature is 14°C (56°F). The number of rainy days a month is 8 days.

 Currency – The local currency is Japanese Yen. Most major banks, hotels and airports have ATMs/cash dispensers. Major international credit cards are accepted in most stores and restaurants.

 Electricity Supply – The Japanese electricity supply is 100 Volt. An adapter may be required for your plug and a transformer for your electrical equipment if it runs on a different power supply.

 Parking – Parking is available at the hotel. Please contact the hotel for details.

 Dress Code – The dress code for the meeting is business casual (no jeans).  Transportation o Nearest Airport: Central Japan International Airport is located 25 miles (30 minutes by train) from downtown Nagoya. o 2 hours approx. from Tokyo to Nagoya Station by Shinkansen (Bullet train). It normally takes around 5 minutes by taxi (or approx. a 15 minute walk) from Nagoya station to the Hilton Nagoya Hotel.

 Sightseeing – Nagoya is located at the center of Honshu (the main island of Japan). Nagoya has many historical areas such as Nagoya Castle, Atsuta Shrine and Ōsu Kannon etc. Also, Nagoya has the original and unique food culture by the rich variety of ingredients. Since taking advantage of its location, Nagoya mixed the food cultures of Eastern and Western Japan. Dishes such as "hitsumabushi", "tenmusu", "ankake spaghetti", “Misonikomi udon” and "ogura toast" are considered to be representative inventions of Nagoya.
