Tic Tac Torah Froma Fallik
Subject Area: Torah Evaluation tool / game Target age: 3rd - 5th grade Objectives: To assess what students have learned after studying a parsha of Torah. Can also be used for pre- and post-testing.
Materials: copies of Tic Tac Torah forms and pencils
Three students work together. Two play the game and one (the referee) has an answer sheet. The two players are given a tic tac toe form for the parsha they have just studied. Students put an X or an O in the box by answering the question in the box correctly. The winner of the first game plays the referee and the other student then acts as the referee. Alternatively, the teacher creates a large form, divides the students into 2 teams and each team acts as one player. Teacher may allow teammates to confer or may ask one person on the team to play one turn, each time choosing a different person.
This is an easy form to create and turns assessment into a game.
