RECOMMENDED DUPLICATE BRIDGE MOVEMENTS No of Tables Movement 3 - 6½ Use Howell Cards 5 Mitchell 5 boards per table 6 Relay between 3 & 4, 1&6 share, 4 boards/round 24 boards 7 Hesitation Mitchell, 3 boards per table, 24 boards in play Relay between tables 3 &4 N/S 1-6 remain stationary E/W move up as normal but when they get to table 7 they play first as E/W and then next round as N/S then move on as normal Arrow switch last round except at table 7 E/W add 7 to table no 8 Relay between 4 & 5 1&8 share 3 boards/round 24 boards 8½ - 9 3 boards per table = 27 boards in play no relay No sharing 9½ Tables 1 - 8 have 3 boards per table. Table 9 shares with table 1 throughout. (Blandon's) Extra pair is E-W 10 who go to table 1 on 2nd round. 24 boards in play. EW skip after 4 rounds 9½ - 10 Relay between tables 5 & 6 and 1 & 10. No sharing but when 9½ tables make sure there are (Blackpool) boards on table 10. 20 boards on 10 tables + 4 in two relays = 24 boards in play. Penultimate round at original table then E/W deduct table no from 11 for last round. 10½ - 11 Hesitation Mitchell 2 boards per table, 24 boards in play Relay between tables 5 & 6 N/S 1-10 remain stationary E/W move up as normal but when they get to table 11 they play first as E/W and then next round as N/S then move on as normal Arrow switch last round except at table 11 E/W add 11 to table no 11½ - 12 Relay between tables 6 & 7 Tables 1 & 12 share. When 11½ tables make sure there are no boards on table 12. 24 boards in play. 12½ - 13 No relay no sharing 26 boards in play 13½ - 14 Skip after 7 rounds 28 boards in play Odd No of Tables Boards on all tables No relay No sharing Even No of Tables Skip at half way
