Preface

The speeches in this volume were presented at New Hope East Garden Farm near Jardim, Mato Grosso do Sul, Brazil at the sixth Forty-Day Ideal Family Workshop. The Workshop is designed to prepare Unification families to register for and live in the Kingdom of Heaven on Earth. Rev. Moon has urged all unification families to participate in the workshop as soon as possible.

Centered on daily Hoon Dok Hae, which is community reading out loud of Rev. Moon's words, of The Divine Principle and of other significant texts, the workshop trains couples in the practical aspects of true conjugal and parental love and in the rearing of blessed children. It provides couples an opportunity to work out family problems and to deepen their life of faith in a setting of incomparable beauty in the Pantanal area of western Brazil. While True Father is the only lecturer at the workshop, either in person or indirectly through Hoon Dok Hae, there are a number of evening speeches by Rev. Kim, President of the Pantanal Project, Rev. Oyamada, the Workshop Director under Rev. Yoon, Rev. Shin, the director of UTS missionaries in the 33 cities, and by other staff members. Also, there are testimonies by workshop participants and special invited guests.

Our prayer is that through daily Hoon Dok Hae and a sincere and mutual effort to implement the suggestions and practices presented in this book, all our Unification families may fully experience the four realms of heart and build the kingdom of God in their homes, clans and communities. May God bless and guide our growth into true couples, true parents and true families, true clans and true communities.
