I know that His Grace impressed us all with his courtesy and willing participation in every aspect of the visit; and he was delighted with everything that we have done over these past years. UBI CARITAS : Margaret Holmes would like to thank everyone for the cards, prayers and good wishes received on the occasion of her award. It was a truly memorable evening. BAPTISMS : This afternoon, the Revd. Peter Hesketh will Baptise Adam John Webb. Please pray for this child as he begins his journey of Faith. REST IN PEACE : John Donovan’s Funeral is on Thursday at 1.00 p.m. (it is not a Funeral Mass), prior to cremation at the Wyre Forest Crematorium. We pray also for Thomas Dalton, who died last Sunday evening. We offer sympathy to his Father, Eamonn, who together with Nancy (R.I.P.) gave Thomas such love and security during his life at home in Shakespeare Drive. Thomas will be buried with his Mother after Mass next Friday. May they rest in peace. KIDDERMINSTER DEANERY : The Clergy of the Kidderminster Deanery will meet on Tuesday at St Peter’s, Bromsgrove, for the Annual Requiem Mass for the deceased Clergy of the Deanery, and to share reflections on the current Year of Faith. YEAR OF FAITH : In the Montini Room on Tuesday at 7.45 p.m. we shall be considering the many changes in the social order against which the proclamation of the Gospel has taken place since the Second Vatican Council. Everyone is very welcome to join this very important series of meetings and discussion. CATHOLIC MEN’S SOCIETY : The Annual Mass for the Deceased Brothers of the Society will be offered in St Ambrose’s next Wednesday at 7.30 p.m., followed by a social gathering in the Wheatley Room. YEAR OF FAITH IN TENBURY : A series of meetings to consider the Documents of the Second Vatican Council will begin in the Sacred Heart Church next Thursday at 2.00 p.m. There will be an introductory talk, followed by a discussion and ending with a cup of tea. KIDDERMINSTER CHRISTMAS LIGHTS SWITCH ON : Wyre Forest District Council cordially invites you to the switch on of Kidderminster Town Centre Christmas Lights on Saturday, 17th November 2012. This year we are organising entertainment during the day and anticipate that many members of the Community will attend, building up to the official ‘Switch On’ at 4.45p.m. Howard Bentham from BBC Radio Hereford & Worcester will be compering the afternoon’s entertainment which will commence at 1.00 p.m. outside The Town Hall. Popular solo artists, Benny Jay, Lauren Alexandra and this year’s headline act ‘Soul Town’ will be performing during the afternoon along with other members of the community. ROAD PEACE SERVICE : The Annual Wyre Forest Road Peace Memorial Service will be held in St Ambrose’s on Sunday, November 18th at 6.30 p.m. ANNUAL MASS FOR DECEASED PARISHIONERS : The Annual Mass for Deceased Parishioners will be in St Ambrose’s on Friday November 23rd at 7.30 p.m. The names of those who have died during the past year will be proclaimed, and the list will be placed in the Memorial Stand in St Joseph’s Chapel. Many familes have been invited but please help by making this important Mass known to those who may wish to attend. NEW LIFE TOGETHER : On Sunday, 25th November at 6.30 p.m. in St Ambrose’s Church this ecumenical choir will lead a Service, appropriate for November, which includes the Mass settings from ‘The Armed Man’ for Peace by Karl Jenkins. Claire Lording, Team Rector of Tenbury. We work with Tenbury CAB to provide Christmas hampers to 18 families suffering hardship. These families are nominated by doctors, police and social services in our own community. A list of suggested items is on the Tenbury Church Noticeboard. Can your parish help? We would also appreciate Christmas presents for their children. Could your parish provide gifts for 2 boys, age 3 & 5?. Please put in an unsealed bag with the age and gender of the child and bring to The Vicarage with your hamper goods, on Sunday, 16th December at 11.30 a.m. and, if you can, help to sort and pack the hampers. INVITATION TO THE CHRISTMAS DAY DINNER IN THE PARISH HALL : If you would otherwise be alone at Christmas you are welcome to celebrate the day by joining others in the Parish Hall for a traditional Christmas Dinner. Guests will be arriving at 12.30 p.m. for Dinner at 1.00 p.m. There is no charge for this event which finishes about 4.00 p.m. Lifts will be provided if required.
