Microsoft® Money 2004 Online Services Policy

Microsoft® Money 2004 Standard includes up to two (2) years of Online Services and one (1) year of product support. You will be able to use the Online Services in Microsoft® Money 2004 Standard for a period of two (2) years from installation of the product or until September 1, 2006 (whichever is earlier). If you elect not to upgrade to the then-current version of Microsoft Money after the online service period ends, you will not be able to automatically update your accounts and investment values inside Microsoft Money. You will still be able to view and edit your financial data inside Microsoft Money and to manually update your accounts and investment values. Please read below for more details.

NOTE: Online Services refers to features of Microsoft Money 2004 that give you the ability to perform certain online financial tasks through the Microsoft Money client software. The ability to perform certain Online Services (such as online banking) may require that you obtain these services separately from your financial institution, with or without a fee. Your version of Microsoft Money 2004 may include a limited free subscription to MSN Bill Pay. You will not be able to access and use MSN Bill Pay through the Microsoft Money 2004 client software after the online service period ends, although you will still be able to access and use MSN Bill Pay through the MSN Money Web site.

Online Services simplify managing your finances by allowing you to more easily accomplish key tasks within Microsoft Money 2004. Online Services in Microsoft Money 2004 enable you to connect with financial institutions and make updating your financial data more automated and efficient.

For users that utilize Online Services, there will be notifications within Microsoft Money 2004 in advance of the date when Online Services expire. To continue using Online Services in Microsoft Money, you can upgrade to the then-current version of Microsoft Money to take advantage of the new and improved features of the most current version.

Online Services generally include the following functionality within Microsoft Money 2004:

Financial Account Management

 Importing transaction, balance, and statement information for banking, credit card, investment, and 401(k) accounts*.  Importing transaction, balance, and statement information directly from your financial institution.  Background banking.

*QIF file import (as backup files) will continue to be available.

Online Bill Payment & Funds Transfer  Creating, changing, and canceling new, scheduled, or recurring payments or transfer of funds between financial institutions, and viewing the status of these payments and transfers.

Investment Tracking

 Downloading updated currency exchange rates and updated prices for stocks, mutual funds, bonds, and other securities.

Synchronization with MSN® Money

 Synchronizing financial data between Microsoft Money 2004 and MSN Money and viewing synchronized data.

Miscellaneous

 Sending new messages to or receiving new messages from your financial institution from within Microsoft Money 2004.
