Oologah-Talala Public Schools Hiring

Oologah-Talala Public Schools will make every effort to be fully informed regarding the personal character and qualifications of those applicants to be recommended for employment. The district will therefore contact any former employer or other persons deemed appropriate concerning the personal character and qualifications of applicants. As authorized by Oklahoma State Statute, the district will take additional steps to secure information regarding the applicant’s driving record, worker’s compensation record, and criminal/felony record, if any.

Any information or misrepresented information provided to the district by the applicant/employee is grounds for immediate removal from employment consideration and/or termination.

Individuals hired by Oologah-Talala Public Schools are employees of the district. The specific assignment of personnel is an inherent managerial right. The Superintendent shall have the authority to assign or reassign any employee to any approved position for which the employee is certified and/or qualified and which is deemed to be in the best interest of the school district. It is understood that these reassignments are to be “lateral transfers” and that pay is not reduced. However, if pay is to be reduced, due process procedures will need to be followed.
