~ Valentines Flowers for Sale ~ Student Council will be selling carnations in the Commons during all lunches 2/11-14 for $3. They will be delivered to the person of your choosing on Valentine’s Day!
~ KPARK Boys Soccer ~ Congratulations to KPark Varsity Soccer team as they won their district opener against Humble with the score of 4-2. Goals were scored by Kyle Folse, Matt Zampello and 2 goals by Oscar Porras. The Panthers will be back in action tonight at Turner Stadium playing against Stratford. Game is scheduled at 6pm. Come and support your boys soccer team!! See you there – Coach Delgado
~ KPARK Wrestling ~ Congratulations to the following wrestlers who qualified for the State Championships in two weeks in Austin:
Desiree Linton and Krystal Rowell won first place and are Region III champions. Zane Crow won a silver medal and Caleb Stockton was fourth. Desiree and Zane were unseeded going into the tournament and both defeated the #1 ranked wrestlers in the Region. Calvin Laird finished 7th and Cade Waskow and Brandon Broussard both went several rounds in the consolation bracket.
~ KPARK Swimming & Diving Team ~ Congratulations to our divers who competed at the Region meet last week.
Kade Broussard finished in 5th place. Jacob Clark finished in 3rd place, just missing qualifying for the State Meet by 2 points. Tommy Holbert won the Region Championship and qualified for the State Meet!!! The state meet will be held in 2 weeks at the UT pool.
~ KPARK Choir ~ Congratulations to the KPARK Choir who competed at UIL Solo and Ensemble on Friday, February 8. The Choir received 105 total 1st division ratings for outstanding performances in solos, small ensembles, and medium ensembles.
The following students earned a 1st division rating (and medal):

Congratulations to the KPARK Choir for successfully competing at Solo & Ensemble on Friday @ Atascocita High School. KPARK won 105 medals for superior ratings, including 16 students who qualified for State competition in May. Students qualifying for state are:

~ Seniors 2013 ~ The senior picnic is on Friday, April 12th at H&H Ranch. Time is running out to purchase your ticket. There will be a lot of fun activities including beach volleyball, a lazy river, basketball, horseshoes and a few other surprises. You do not want to miss out. Students who do not attend the picnic will remain on campus in either the LGI or another room with a teacher. If you need a flyer, you can pick one up at the front desk. If you purchase by March 1st you can choose to purchase a beach towel to take to H&H Ranch. After March 1st, the cost will increase. The absolute deadline to purchase a ticket to the picnic is Friday, April 5th. There will be no exceptions after Friday, April 5th to purchase a ticket. If you’re not sure if you have purchased a ticket already, there is a list of students who haven’t purchased yet located at the front desk and outside room 2203. Ms. Kim Stokes
~ KPARK Drumline ~ Congratulations to the Drumline members who attended the first drumline competition of the season. Not only did they take first place in their division, but they also advanced to the next competitive class. For this to occur on the first show of their second year in existence is very special. ~ KPark Speech & Debate Team ~ Congratulations to the following students for their success at Friday-Saturday's speech & debate tournament at George Ranch High School:
Sarah Schneider advanced to semifinals in poetry interpretation, Mason Carr advanced to semis in extemporaneous speaking, and freshman Andre Garcia won a trophy for his 3rd place finish in extemporaneous speaking!
Our two policy debate teams went 2-2, which is excellent for their first time competing. Chris Holmes & Sarah Schneider and Andre Garcia & Sydnee Miano will also represent K-Park at the UIL district CX debate meet at Summer Creek on Saturday.
