GOAL 1: Support implementation of comprehensive nutrition programs for school-based, public health, and community-based youth serving program sites to prom ote the 2010 Dietary Guidelines for Americans (DGA), increase fruit and vegetable consumption and physical activity among Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program – Education (SNAP-Ed) eligible school age children.

Objective 1: (Infrastructure) The Regents of the University of California, Davis will complete and submit all required reports and forms on or before each deadline and participate in a minimum of five Network for a Healthy California (Network) sponsored community events and trainings throughout the fiscal year.

Goal 3: Support the diffusion and utilization of cutting edge resources for SNAP-ED projects working with youth that promote healthy eating, physical activity, food security and obesity prevention.

Objective 2: Enhance Afterschool Model Interventions Initiative (AMII) to help achieve the Network’s goals of increasing fruit and vegetable consumption, physical activity and access to healthy food in families with children who are eligible for SNAP-Ed in at least 1,000 qualifying low-income venues.
