Dear Parent of an Instrumental Music Student,
Your child has passed Page 16 in the Essential Elements Book (or Lesson #13 in Breeze Easy Drum book) and is ready to start coming to band!! This is very exciting!
Please have your child mark in his/her planner to bring the instrument and folder on every Band Day. Letter days are indicated on the School Calendar. It is very important that your child has his/her instrument and folder on every band day.

PLEASE HAVE YOUR CHILD MARK THE BAND DAYS IN THEIR PLANNER AND ON YOUR HOME CALENDAR SO THAT STUDENTS REMEMBER INSTRUMENTS AND MUSIC. Being prepared for band rehearsals is part of the student’s band grade, and is crucial to your child’s success in band and enjoyment of band.
1. BAND/ORCHESTRA MUSIC CARE: Students will be given a folder of band/orchestra music that is the property of the Intermediate School. The music must be returned. Please encourage your student to take proper care of the music and not lose it. Replacement parts will cost $3.00 for each lost or damaged piece of music.
2. CONCERT ATTENDANCE: It is expected that your child will participate in all 3 concerts as a requirement of band. In event of a last minute emergency, please call me at school. It is crucial that all members are present for a concert due to the important role EACH band/orchestra member plays in the performance
