Open to all adults and children RING 1 OPEN JUMPING: Sponsored by Steve Savage Wealth Planning Ltd Commencing 9.30am prompt Entry Fee: £7 on the day, £5 in advance ,£8 per pair for Pairs Competition – Rosettes to 6th place & medal to class winners. Rosette for Best placed CVFHPC member in each class. All classes will be run as 2 phase expect Pairs. Classes 1,3,4 5 are qualifiers for Area 9 PC Showjumping Championships Hickstead Qualier Entry Fee per team £48 plus £2 medical cover per team = £50

CLASS 1: Open Jumping – fences not exceeding 70/75cm in first round. CLASS 2: Open Jumping pairs– fences not exceeding 80cm CLASS 3: Open Jumping – fences not exceeding 80/85cm in first round. CLASS 4: Open Jumping = fences not exceeding 90/95cm in first round CLASS 5: Hickstead warm up class – fences not exceeding 105cm in first round.(individuals only) Not to Start before 2 30pm CLASS 6: Area 9 Hickstead Qualifier, sponsored by A Clarke Design Teams only- 1 Round then a jump off for all teams on ) 0 faults or equal scores

Class 6 is a qualifying competition for the Hurstpierpoint College National Pony Club Championships at Hickstead which will be held on 3 August 2017. Height 1.10m in the first round with two fences at 1.15m. At the final the Preliminary Round is 1.15m. The class is open to teams of 3 or 4 from pony club branches within Area 9. Three teams to qualify for the championships, but no more than one team from each branch.

COMPETITORS IN THIS RING MAY NOT COMPETE IN RING 2 OR 3.

RING 2 NOVICE: Sponsored by Colne Saddlery Commencing 9.30pm prompt Competitor and horse/pony not to have been placed 1st to 3rd in any jumping class over 2”. Entry Fee: £7 on the day, £5 in advance,£8 per pair for Pairs Competition – Rosettes to 6th place & medal to class winners. Rosette for Best placed CVFHPC member in each class. All classes will be run as 2 phase expect Pairs. Classes 7 and 8 are qualifiers for Area 9 PC Showjumping Championships

RING 4 CLEAR ROUND SHOWJUMPING: Sponsored by Goffs Brewery Commencing at 9.00am to run all day, varying heights according to need.

Rosettes for all clear rounds. £2 per rounds all entries at the ringside on the day.

RING 5 FANCY DRESS sponsored by Fine and Country Fancy dress: Commencing at 11.00am, mounted and unmounted. Medal for the winner. £2 per entry at ringside. Class may be split. All entrants to receive a rosette.

Gymkhana: commencing at 12.00pm.sponsored by C&G Kitchens and Bathrooms All entries on the day, at the ringside. £1.50 per race or £5.00 per block. No Whips or spurs allowed. Rosettes for 6th place.

CLASS A: 4 years and under Lead Rein – Monte Carlo, Walking Race, Sweet Race, Musical Sacks. CLASS B: 6 years and under Lead Rein – Monte Carlo, Walking Race, Sweet Race, Musical Sacks. CLASS C: 8 years and under Lead Rein – Monte Carlo, Walk & Trot, Sweet Race, Musical Sacks. CLASS D: 10 years and under Unlead– Walk Trot and Canter, Ride and Run, Potato Race, Musical Sacks. CLASS E: 12 years and under Unlead – Walk Trot and Canter, Ride and Run, Potato Race, Musical Sacks. CLASS F: 10 Open – Walk Trot and Canter, Ride and Run, Potato Race, Musical Sacks. RING 6: RIDDEN SHOWING FOR HORSES AND PONIES: Sponsore by Ruddles Farm Stables Commencing 9 30am £7 on the day.,£5 in advance, Rosettes to 6th place & medal to class winners. Rosette for Best placed CVFHPC member in each class. Classes may be split, at Judge’s discretion, if numbers permit.

CLASS 19: Best turned out horse/pony –class maybe spilt if entries allow CLASS 20: Most suitable lead rein pony 12.2 and under. Snaffle bridles, lead rein to be attached to noseband. Judged on manners and suitability. Riders 8 years and under. CLASS 21 Introduction to showing for those not having been placed 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th in any showing class. An informal encouraging class to get you started. Rosettes to all. CLASS 22 Most suitable Pony club pony/horse judged on manners & suitability. May be asked to jump a small fence. Need not be a member of Pony club. CLASS 23; Mountain & Moorland Large & small breeds. CLASS 24: Ridden Veteran horse or pony aged 16 & over. CLASS 25: Ridden Coloured Horse or Pony

RING 7 HANDY PONY/HORSE: Sponsored by Fosseway Game From 10am ‘til 2pm, to be followed by prize giving at ringside at 2.30pm. Entry at ringside, £2 per round. The round will be timed, competitors can only enter one section but can have as many attempts as you like! Fastest round to count. Rosettes to 6th place & medal to class winners. Rosette for Best placed CVFHPC member in each class. CLASS 25: 4 years and under lead rein CLASS 26: 8 years and under lead rein CLASS 27: Assisted CLASS 28; Open

1. The organisers and landowners accept no responsibility or liability for any accident, damage, injury or loss to any person, animal or property. It will be a condition of entry that exhibitors shall hold the organisers and landowners blameless and indemnify them against legal proceedings. 2. The organisers reserve the right to alter, limit or cancel any class and to refuse entry to a class/the showground without explanation. 3. The judges and organisers decision is final. 4. All competitors must wear a hard hat and suitable footwear. Pony Club members must wear tagged hats to the following standards PAS 015 (with kite mark or SEI) ASTM F1163 (with SEI). 5. Pony Club rules 2017 will apply and it is the responsibility of the Pony Club members to ensure that they are familiar with and comply with these rules. Body protectors are compulsory for cross country and strongly recommended for everything else. 6. All ages as of 1st January 2017. 7. All ponies/horses must be 5 years old or over. No stallions or colts allowed on the showground. 8. Objections must be handed in writing to the secretary within 30 minutes of completion of the class, together with a £25 deposit, to be forfeited if the objection is not sustained. 9. No lunging. 10. All dogs must be kept on leads at all times. 11. The Organisers of this event have taken reasonable precautions to ensure that safety of everyone present. For these measures to be affective everyone must take reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must obey the instructions of the organisers, officials and stewards. 12. In adverse weather conditions please ring the secretary on the day. 13. No water on site, so please make sure you bring plenty with you. 14. In the event of cancellation, a £1 admin fee will be charged per class entered.
