Dear Colleague,

I am writing to give you advance notice that as from 1 April 2015, regrettably we will no longer be able to provide a group discount deal for school advertising.

You will be aware that over the last twelve months we have offered unlimited advertising via TES online and prior to that with E Teach for a number of years.

TES have declined to continue to offer this kind of group discount and following a meeting with E-Teach we were unable to come to a satisfactory agreement which would have maintained our current simple and cost effective arrangement.

Therefore as from 1 April 2015 all national advertising for school posts will need to be arranged by each school on an individual basis.

Doubtless both TES and E-Teach will be contacting schools to offer recruitment solutions.

However for those schools wishing to participate we will maintain the facility (at no charge) for schools to place advertisements on our own website (teach-manchester.org, the city council website (manchester.gov.uk), universal job match, job centre plus, direct.gov and the MCC weekly vacancy bulletin.

www.manchester.gov.uk Teach-manchester.org is now well established with a large number of hits from colleagues searching for school posts. and it will shortly act as the portal for our new NQT Talent Pool. We have in excess of 200 ITT students registered on the talent pool and when testing is complete schools will be able to have access to search for potential NQT’s for next academic year.

We will also investigate the feasibility of continuing the arrangement with yourcounciljobs.co.uk which has for the last year been part of our package to schools.

We will write to you with further information about the talent pool and local advertising as soon as soon as details are finalised.

Yours sincerely,

Nick Paul Strategic Lead
