Help sought in identifying murder victim:- Bara Hindu Rao police has sought public help in identifying the body of a female found murdered on 3rd Nov in the stairs at No. 6387 Gali Ishwari Prasad. According to local police the body bears strangulation marks on neck. Deceased aged 24/25 yrs, 5’2” tall, round faced, fair complexioned was wearing pink salwar, yellow shirt and pink veil. She was also wearing a black thread with locket shaped ‘OM’ in hindi. The deceased had ‘Aruna’ tattooed on her left fore arm. Information about her can be passed on to S.H.O Bara Hindu Rao on Tel Nos. 23528060 & 23529707.

Two arrested while stealing MTNL cables: - Dilshad Garden police have arrested two persons on the charges of stealing MTNL cables. According to DCP North East, while the duo namely Fida Hussain, 38 years and Abdul Mukeem, 22 years both R/o Araiya Bihar, were digging earth in order to steal cables, the patrolling policemen arrested them red handed from G.T. RACKET DEALING IN BLUE CINEMA FILM PRINTS BUSTED & TWO ARRESTED

A secret information was received by Sh. R K Budhiraja, ACP/Anti-Homicide Section, Crime Branch regarding some persons dealing in Blue Film Prints shown at Cinemas of U. P. and their distribution and edition in Delhi. Working on the information a team headed by SI Ram Avatar was formed to take action. ASI Lal Singh was sent as a decoy customer at Shop No. 1498, Ram Gali, Bhagirath Place, Delhi who verified the information. After verification of information a raid was conducted and 45 reels of Blue Film Prints of 35/70MM and one suitcase containing 175 vulgar posters were recovered from the possession of Rakesh Gupta. On receipt of further information from Rakesh Gupta, another raid was conducted at Shop No. 18, Diwan Hall, 3rd Floor, Bhagirath Place, Chandni Chowk, Delhi and 9 prints of Blue Films of 35 MM kept in metal covers and 6 prints without cover were also recovered from the office of Shahid. The recovered films included the prints of hardcore pornographic films inserted in them. Some of these prints were having titles like “Naye Pyar Ki Raat”, “Rang Baaj Ashiq”, “F. S. Night”. A case u/s 392/34 IPC has registered at PS Kotwali, Delhi and Rakesh Gupta (aged 48 years) s/o Late Sh. Jai Prakash Gupta r/o H. No. 15, Sadar Kabari Bazar, Meerut, UP and Shahid Ali (aged about 45 years) s/o Sh. Nausa Ali r/o Mohall Potta, Distt. J P Nagar, Amroha, UP have been arrested.

The interrogation of the accused persons revealed that they prepare/edit the prints on the demand of Cinemas in small towns of U.P. as the addition of such scenes in prints attracts more public to their cinemas. Both the accused are residents of U. P., and have rented offices in Delhi.

Further investigation is in progress.

With the arrest of Amrik Singh S/o Shri Pritam Singh, R/o Village Durga Pur, P.S. Kashipur, Distt. Udham Singh Nagar, Uttaranchal, aged 27 years and Kulwant Singh @ Kalle S/o Shri Mangal Singh, R/o Village Durga Pur P.S. Kashipur, Distt. Udham Singh Nagar, Uttaranchal, aged 22 years, Outer District Police has busted gang of burglars who have committed number of burglaries in Temples, Gurudwaras, Church in Delhi, Haryana and Uttaranchal. They were also wanted in the recent burglary that occurred in Balaji Temple, Sector – 14, Rohini.

On 27th October, 2007, Shri Devki Nandan Sharma S/o Gauri Shankar Sharma, R/o E-139, Prashant Vihar, Delhi has reported that in the intervening night of 26 & 27 October, 2007, unknown person has committed theft in the Balaji Temple, Sector – 14, Rohini and taken away ornaments of gold and silver of Balaji Maharaj and other deities, after breaking the grill in the basement of the Temple. A case vide FIR No. 776/2007, dated 27.10.2007, U/S 457/380 IPC was registered at PS Prashant Vihar, Delhi. There were three such theft cases registered in P.S. Rohini as well.

Keeping in view the gravity of the case, various teams were constituted from North-West and Outer District Police under the supervision of DCP/N.W., Shri Manish Aggarwal and DCP/Outer Distt., Dr. Sagarpreet.

The information and input given by the management of the temple, was analyzed and it was noticed that three sikh youth have committed this theft. A careful study by various teams identified these as Amrik Singh, Kulwant Singh, mentioned above, and Harjeet Singh @ Jeeta R/o Village Latipur (near Hastinapur), Distt. Meerut (U.P.), previously also involved in such type of crimes. One of these, Amrik Singh was recently arrested by the staff of Police Post Nihal Vihar. So, a team lead by SI Jai Prakash, I/C PP Nihal Vihar and supervised ACP/Rohini V. K. Porwal and SHO/Nangloi, Inspr. R.S. Malik, was pressed into action to nab the burglars. Upon specific information that these burglars are hiding themselves in Hastinapur area of Meerut (UP),

SI Jai Prakash with his team comprising Head Constables Devender, Labh Singh, Subhash, Amar Pal and Constables Vijender, Naseeb, Ramesh and Snej laid a trap and were successful in nabbing Amrik Singh and Kulwant Singh who were fleeing on their Pulsar Motor Cycle at Hastinapur on 04.11.2007 at about 4.30 P.M.

Upon sustained interrogation, they revealed that they have committed number of burglaries and thefts in Temples, Gurudwaras and houses. They admitted that they have committed the burglary in Balaji Temple, Sector – 14, Rohini on the night of 26/27.10.2007 and have sold the booty to several Jewellers in Delhi and elsewhere.

Based on the information provided by the two accused, several raids have been conducted jointly by Prashant Vihar police and Nangloi Police. Several articles viz Mukuts, Gada, Chains etc. weighing approx. 5.5 Kg. of Silver and 200 Gms. of Gold have been recovered so far. Further recovery is in progress.

The accused in the case are notorious inter-state burglars having a long history of crime in Uttaranchal, Haryana and Delhi. Amrik Singh has been involved in seven such cases in Faridabad, Delhi and Kashipur (Uttaranchal). Kulwant Singh has a history of nine involvements of thefts and burglaries in the same areas.

ANAND PARBAT MURDER CASE SOLVED TWO DESPERATE CRIMINALS ARRESTED

West District Police has solved the Murder case of Jagdish Prasad (65 years) S/O Mange Ram R/O H. No. 244, Gali No. 7, Nehru Nagar, Anand Parbat, Delhi who was stabbed on the night of 8.09.2007 in the area of P.S. Anand Parbat, later succumbed to injuries on 10.09.2007 and arrested desperate criminal Naveen @ Chinu and his associate Mahesh Kumar.

ACCUSED ARRESTED ARE:

1. Naveen @ Chinu ( 28 years) S/O Kishore Chand R/O H. No. 605, Gali No. 12, Nehru Nagar, Anand Parbat, Delhi.

2. Mahesh Kumar (24 years) S/O Ram Kishan R/O H. No. 6, Gali No. 12, Nehru Nagar, Anand Parbat, Delhi.

INCIDENT:

On 8.09.2007, at about 10.30 PM, a PCR call informing about an incident of stabbing at Nehru Nagar was received at PS Anand Parbat. The call was marked to ASI Taushif Ahmed who reached the spot and found that injured Jagdish Prasad aged about 65 years is having multiple stab injuries with sharp object on his face and lower abdomen. A case vide FIR No. 259/07 dated 10.09.07 u/s 324 IPC, P.S. Anand Parbat was registered against the accused Naveen @ Chinu and his associates on the statement of the victim and investigation taken up. Victim Jagdish Prasad expired on 10.09.07 while under treatment at RML Hospital and section was amended to 302 IPC.

A team under the supervision of Sh. Sube Singh. Yadav, ACP/Operation Cell, headed by Inspr.Hoshiyar Singh, Inspr. Special Staff assisted by SI Narender Kumar, SI Santosh, ASI Virender Tyagi, ASI Ravi Dutt, HC Baney Singh, Ct. Rohtash, Ct. Vijay Singh and staff was constituted to work out the case. Door to door local

4 enquiry was made around the residence of the deceased and local intelligence was deputed. During the enquiry, it was learnt that accused Naveen @ Chinu S/O Kishore Chand along with his associate Mahesh Kumar are hiding at some unknown place for evading his arrest and visit their house during odd hours.

On 4.11.2007, a secret information was received by SI Narender Singh of Special Staff/West District that Naveen @ Chinu along with his associate Mahesh Kumar would come to Nehru Nagar area at about 5.00 PM, following which a trap was laid by the team members. The team members zeroed in at the Gali No 12, Nehru Nagar and apprehended the above-mentioned accused persons after signal from the secret informer.

On sustained interrogation, accused Naveen @ Chinu disclosed that on 8.09.07, he along with his associates Surender @ Bittoo and Mahesh Kumar had come to Nehru Nagar area and inflected knife injuries to Jagdish Prasad father of Pawan Kumar, with whom he was having enmity because his brother-in-law (Jeeja) Umed Singh was murdered by members of his rival group, namely Pawan, Jassu and Sandeep in the month of February, 2007 vide FIR No. 43/07 u/s 302 IPC, PS Anand Parbat. All of them were arrested by the police and later released on bail. In order to take revenge, he along with his associates Mahesh and Surender @ Bittoo stabbed Jagdish Prasad father of Pawan Kumar. Both the accused have been arrested.

Accused Naveen @ Chinu is BC of P.S. Anand Parbat area and involved in more than 16 cases of Burglary, theft, hurt, Arms Act and Murder. Efforts are on to arrest the third accused Surender @ Bittoo.

Further investigation is in progress. The staff involved in the good work is being suitably rewarded.

GANG OF BURGLARS PLANNING TO COMMIT DACOITY BUSTED : FOUR PERSONS ARRESTED AND FOUR CASES WORKED OUT

With the arrest of (1) Manoj Kumar aged 25 years s/o Shripat r/o B-533, Gokal Puri, Delhi; (2) Suhail @ Shammi aged 19 years s/o Anees Ahmed r/o Sunil Ka Beda, Gali No.1, Subhash Mohalla, Near Bada School, North Ghonda, Delhi; (3) Saleem aged 18 ½ years s/o Mustakim r/o House of Bhim Singh, Gali No.2, C-Block, Dayal Pur, Delhi and (4) Amir @ Samir aged 19 years s/o Mohd. Zahid r/o Near Saleem Bismillah Hotel, Baradari Mohalla, Muradabad, UP, North East District police has busted a gang of active burglars who were 5 planning to commit dacoity in the area of Ganga Vihar, Delhi. One country made pistol (.315 bore) along with two live cartridges, one saw, one iron rod, one torch were recovered from their possession.

At their instance, 9 Colour TVs (21’), 3 Music Systems, 3 DVD Players, 3 CD Players, 4 artificial necklaces were also recovered and four cases including 3 night burglaries and one house theft of P.S. Gokal Puri were worked out.

TEAM AND THE INCIDENT

A team consisting of Inspr. Bakshi Ram, SHO/Gokal Puri, ASI Duli Chand, HC Rohtash Kumar, Ct. Anil Kumar, Ct. Sarbjeet and Ct. Virender was constituted under the close supervision of Shri R.P. Gautam, ACP/Gokal Puri, North East District.

With a view to keep a check on increasing incidents of burglary and house theft, a special team was constituted for the verification of burglars/robbers of the area. On 03.11.2007, HC Rohtash along with staff was performing patrolling near Loni Gol Chakkar. At about 7.05 P.M., a secret information was received that a gang of active burglars would assemble in DDA Park, Gokal Pur Village with the purpose of planning to commit a dacoity in Ganga Vihar, Delhi. On receipt of this information, a team consisting of above mentioned police officers was immediately formed and a trap was laid around DDA Park. At about 7:30 P.M. five suspicious persons gathered in the ground. On confirmation about their plan to commit a dacoity, the criminals were challenged and overpowered by the police party. However, one criminal later identified as Jibbo s/o Iliyas r/o Gali No.20, New Mustafabad, Delhi managed to escape from the spot. On their personal search, one country made pistol (.315 bore) along with 2 live cartridges, one saw, one iron rod, one torch were recovered from their possession. A case was registered at P.S. Gokal Puri, Delhi in this regard.

INVESTIGATION

During sustained interrogation, accused persons revealed their identity as (1) Manoj Kumar s/o Shripat; (2) Suhail @ Shammi s/o Anees Ahmed; (3) Saleem s/o Mustakim and (4) Amir @ Samir. They disclosed that they were planning to commit an incident in a house at Ganga Vihar, Delhi. They used to commit burglaries and house thefts under the leadership of Jibbo who fled away from the spot. In order to commit crime they also used to carry arms to thwart any resistance from the victim’s family. They further disclosed that they have committed three burglaries and one house theft in the area of P.S. Gokal Puri in the recent past and stolen a lot of electronic goods, jewellery and cash. At their instance, 9 Colour TVs (21’), 3 Music Systems, 3 DVD Players, 3 CD Players, 4 artificial necklaces have been recovered which have been identified by the complainants of these burglary and house theft cases.

On verification of previous involvement of these accused persons, it was found that accused Manoj Kumar is previously involved in 11 criminal cases including arms act, theft, hurt etc. of various police stations of Delhi. Accused Suhail @ Shammi is previously involved in 3 criminal cases including two cases of theft of PS Bhajan Pura and one case of Arms Act of PS Gokal Puri. Accused Saleem is previously involved in two criminal cases of burglary and arms act of PS Gokal Puri.

Further investigation / interrogation is in progress and efforts are being made to arrest the absconding accused Jibbo and more recovery.
