 It can't require the use of JavaScript.  It needs to be Section 508 compliant http://www.section508.gov/index.cfm? FuseAction=Content&ID=11. Relates to making the site accessible for those with physical impairments. It is rather easy to comply with and generally makes for a better site, anyway.  Not a graphic/image-based design  Not designed using tables  Must be standards-based, preferrably ASP/xHTML, but Sharepoint is acceptable  Must be able to be completely modifiable either through Web access or a standard Web design utility, e.g., Dreamweaver.  online form they could fill out and digitally sign

On the mission statement, I saw something about funding the “Nation’s Guardsmen.” Our Education fund only pertains to members of the Colorado National Guard (both Air and Army). We should not give the impression that other state’s guardsmen can apply

2. Logos for both the Colorado Air and Army National Guard should be on the website. Also maybe the Colorado Flag for clear connection to Colorado.

3. Site should be easy to navigate through.

4. A whole new look to highlight switching to a new web site. Should not look like the old website.

5. List the members of the Board as well as Scholarship committee as well as contact information should anyone want questions answered.

6. Capture how many times the site was accessed so we can have some statistical data on website use.

7. Perhaps posting our By Laws for all to read and understand.

8. Posting pictures of our last Scholarship Awards Breakfast and list of awardees

9. Post the logos of all Corporate Sponsors on the Home page for all to see.

10. Post some of the thank you notes from recent awardees.

11. Updates from past awardees to see what the degrees/certificates they received and what they are doing with it.

Contributed from Bill  Navigation bar on EVERY screen that allows to easily jump from any screen to another, along with the home screen and a contact page.  About Us’ page that gives photos and brief biographical summary on Bard Members, Committee members, etc.  Background photos and school logos from past recipients  Ability for login based on function (we have the ability to define a level of login, where say Board Members see EVERYTHING, prospective donors see only certain screens, and applicants see screens with background info and application procedures  Calendar function available to Board and Committee members on login, allowing for a centralized and easily accessed repository of important dates. o Document repository, allowing for online storage of meeting minutes, etc.  Page allowing for ‘testimonials’ from donors, recipients, etc.  History page, detailing background of this Foundation, vision, etc.  Perhaps a link to a ‘standard’ PowerPoint Presentation along the lines of something Bernie would use to make a ‘pitch’ to donors.  Not sure if this is REALLY a good idea, but possibly a secure link to a screen allowing someone to make donations ‘on the spot’?  I’d like to see a map included as a graphic, that shows ‘generically’ the dispersed locations of our various units throughout the state, allowing to show that no matter WHERE your company is, your donations CAN impact your local community and not just the front range.  Perhaps a graphic showing where the CONG has deployed personnel in the last 10 years or something? 1.Ensure ease of maintenance (the site should be fully documented!!) 2. Incorporate appropriate security measures 3. Implement a robust archiving and backup architecture 4. Include automated reports for both recipients and financials a. mailing labels b. applications by applicant or by semester c. A report builder is a must 5. Applicants should be able to query the database for the status of their application 6. Others should be able to upload required documents for their students with no manual intervention 7. Every upload should have a date/time group associated with it. 8. There should be a prominent link with Bernie's email address associated with it 9. There should be a page counter embedded in appropriate pages so we can measure the traffic 10. Should have different sections for our different audiences (donor, applicant, testimonial, ??) 11. Ideally it will be able to present graphics from Donna's budget spreadsheets in the donor section (admin overhead, % given, things of that nature) 12. There should be an email button that allows a viewer to email the URL to a friend
