April 1, 2009 -- Spring has arrived in Branson, Missouri and summer is just around the corner. Branson has once again geared up for an excellent year of entertainment. There are new shows, attractions and entertainers creating an affordable vacation option for families and individuals alike. And, Branson remains one of the best in value for 2009 vacations. The American Society of Travel Agents recently ranked Branson in its top five most budget-friendly destinations to travel in the United States for 2009.

Join the celebrations in Branson. Jim Stafford is throwing a party all season long to celebrate their 20 years in Branson. The Baldknobbers Jamboree will embark on their 50 year anniversary as the first show in Branson, Missouri. And, Shepherd of the Hills reaches their 100th year milestone.

Lee Greenwood will return to Branson and perform with the Bellamy Brothers at the Welk Resort Theater. Cathy Rigby is sure to entertain all ages at the Mansion Theatre as she takes on the role of Peter Pan in the Emmy Award winning, Tony Award nominated Broadway production. At the New Americana Theatre, “Cassandre-The Voice of An Angel,” will be debuting with a medley of pop, Broadway and classical all with a 10-piece orchestra.

The Osmonds are once again back in Branson, performing September 4 through December 12 at the Osmond Theatre. The Sight and Sound Theatre will debut “Miracle of Christmas” during the holiday season highlighting the nativity story, and Noah – The Musical returns for its second season. You can see Dino’s Christmas show this year at the Yakov Theater. Also new at Yakov this year is Neal McCoy and Yakov’s Moscow Circus.

Several acts have changed theaters. Righteous BrotherBill Medley, Paul Revere and The Raiders and The Original Comets will be entertaining at the Andy Williams Moon River Theatre. The Jim Stafford Theater has added many new elements to its popular show and it is also welcoming Moe Bandy to the stage. The Haygoods, Tony Roi and Red, Hot & Blue have moved to the New Americana Theatre. The Magnificent Variety Show is now performing onstage at the Osmond Theatre. The Caravelle Theatre is proud to welcome the #1 Hits of the 60’s Show. Legends in Concert has changed venues to Dick Clark’s American Bandstand. Rankin Brothers will be entertaining from the Starlite Theater. Many of Branson stages will be graced with star studded limited engagement performers. Country Tonite will welcome Collin Raye, Debby Boone and Restless Heart. Mary Duff will join Daniel O’Donnell. The Mansion Theatre will showcase Johnny Mathis, T. G. Sheppard and Englebert Humperdink. The Tri Lakes Center is proud to announce that Ray Price will entertain during September and Mel Tillis in November. Also, Justin David will join Roy Clark during limited dates in September and October. Other limited engagements to check out include Merle Haggard, Gatlin Brothers and Mark Lowry.
