Flex Ur Noodle Club What is there to do on a weekday afternoon in March? Spring hasn’t come yet, but the best of winter has passed. Join us for some F.U.N. in our new club.

The F.U.N. Club is open to any child in the community between the ages of 3 and fifth grade. This is a community offering by Bethany Church, rather than a faith based program. Our goal is to provide a safe environment where children can explore, learn and have F.U.N. together. Two teachers lead each class, and the program adheres to our safe church policy for children. Attached are the club offerings for 2012. Once you’ve made your choice, please fill out the registration form and return it to the Bethany Church office, 3 Rockhill St. with the registration fee of $20 ($50/family maximum). The registration fee is nonrefundable, unless we need to cancel the F.U.N. Club class due to low enrollment. If the class you selected has low enrollment, we’ll offer you a choice of a different class, or a refund (but we don’t expect low enrollment in any of these classes!). We’ll keep you updated by email about registration and the other club news.

Drop Off: Please park in the lot on Market St. and use the glass doors (labeled “main entrance”) to enter and exit the building. We ask you to accompany your child into the building to find the classroom. Please send a peanut and nut free snack and drink with your child each week.

Pick Up: We will only release your child to you, or to an authorized person you list on the registration form. You will need to go to the classroom where the club is meeting and sign the sign out sheet before leaving. If it is someone other than a parent picking up a child, we will ask to see an i.d. to verify that person has permission to pick up the child. At no time will we allow a child wait outside for a ride. F.U.N. Club Offerings

Our classes run on Tuesdays, from 3:30 to 4:30. Read our class descriptions below, and please note the grade levels for each class when you make your selection.

Crafty Crafts Instructors: Maddy and Justine McKinney Grades: Preschool (3 yr) Meghan McGuire, Sabrina Johnson Grades: Pre K (4-5 yr) We’ll offer this class in two rooms, dividing the group by ages. Arts and craft creations await in this class designed especially for preschoolers. You’ll create beautiful works of art for your family as you cut, glue and design unique, one-of-a-kind crafts. Myth Busters Science Lab Instructors: Joan and Olivia Bradley Grades: K-5 Explore the wonders of science in this hands-on science lab. Each week, you’ll watch a clip of the popular show “Myth Busters” and then conduct experiments, test hypotheses and discover amazing results! Whether it’s making “goop” or finding out how Mentos and cola interact, you’ll have F.U.N. as a scientist in this lab. (We promise – no explosions!)

Art 101 Instructors: Becca Carter and Emily Maynard Grades: K-2, 3-5 Our art class for older students will introduce young artists to a variety of art: drawing, watercolors, and other 2-D media. Discover your artistic talents – are you a future Picasso, Monet, or Rembrandt? Work on an art piece in a F.U.N. class setting! F.U.N. Club Offerings, continued

March Madness Sports Instructors: Meghan Carter and Celine Medieros Grades: K-5 Get your game on in this F.U.N. and energetic class. Each week, we’ll play a different sport like basketball, soccer, or tennis. Bring a water bottle to hydrate, because you’ll be working up a thirst in the gym!

Sign Language Instructors: Alex Brown and Mimi Hewitt Grades: K-2 Sign language is a beautiful and F.U.N. way to communicate with others. In this class, you’ll learn the alphabet, counting, basic signs, and maybe even how to sign a song!

Legoland Instructors: Pastor Paul Sangree and Robert Bradley Grades: K-5 Calling all future builders and architects! Our Lego class is just for you. Whether you like to build from a kit, or make your own creation, our class is designed to make a F.U.N. Legoland. Come see what you can create when you work with other Lego fans. F.U.N.
