A RESOLUTION Adjourning the Senate in Honor and Loving Memory of Frank D

A RESOLUTION adjourning the Senate in honor and loving memory of Frank D. Justice. With deepest respect and admiration, we pay homage and tribute to Frank D. Justice, and we pause in silent reverence for his soul. WHEREAS, Frank D. Justice was born May 20, 1932, to the late Drew and Mary Rowe Justice and traversed these earthly bounds for his Heavenly Home on February 25, 2012; and WHEREAS, Mr. Justice was a highly successful businessman, having founded and operated Justice Shoe Store, Mari Dru Shop, Jerry's Restaurant, Velocity Market, Long John Silver's, Mac Mining, Coal-Mac Sales, Frank Justice Furniture, Triple J Farm, and Dell Ridge Farm; and WHEREAS, Mr. Justice contributed to his community in many ways. He will be forever remembered for his generous gifts to students, local education institutions, church missions work, and Habitat for Humanity through the Frank and Mattie Justice Charitable Foundation. He also served as a Pikeville city commissioner when Mayor William Carter Hambley was planning the Pikeville Cut-Thru Project, which remains the second largest earth-moving project in the world and is regarded as one of the most ambitious engineering accomplishments of all time; and WHEREAS, along with his parents, Mr. Justice was preceded in death by two brothers, Grover and Kermit Justice; and four sisters, Rosemary Groh, Bonnie Venters, Betty Lou Ingram, and Kathryn Nell Tudor; and WHEREAS, Mr. Justice is survived by his loving wife, Mattie Adams Justice; two sons, current Pikeville Mayor Frank D. (Allyson) Justice II and Jason Ledford (Kim) Justice; two daughters, Bridget Justice and Karla Justice (Paul) Corbin; one brother, Doug (Patsy) Justice; two sisters, Peggie Rice and Sophia (Bill) Hurt; nine grandchildren, Brittany Blair (Shawn) Boggs, Adam Blair, Jessica Justice (Shane) Beall, Don Paul (Karilynn) Corbin, Matthew (Heather) Corbin, Franklin Drew (Tiffany) Justice, Sarah

Katilyn Justice, Morgan Taylor Justice, and Lincoln Ashford Justice; and eight great- grandchildren, Jackson Boggs, Mattie Boggs, Brady Corbin, Addison Boggs, Justice Cooper Beall, Tristan Corbin, Sawyer Elizabeth Beall, and Scott Douglas Corbin; NOW, THEREFORE, Be it resolved by the Senate of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Kentucky:

Section 1. The Senate expresses its deepest sympathy upon the passing of Frank D. Justice, and extends its sincere condolences to his family and friends.

Section 2. When the Senate adjourns this day, it does so in honor and loving memory of Frank D. Justice.

Section 3. The Clerk of the Senate is directed to transmit five copies of this Resolution to the office of Senator Ray S. Jones for delivery to the family.
