Includes attendance, materials, opening Thursday evening reception, and coffee/tea breaks

B. Housing Options

Cheiron 2017 will have two housing options: on-campus dorm rooms at a reduced rate and a hotel

block at the Comfort Suites. Please note that dorm rooms are conveniently located and

comfortably air-conditioned, but they will not provide a linen service (including sheets, towels,

blankets, and pillows), so if you choose to book a dorm room you must provide your own linens. We have also arranged for hotel rooms at three local hotels, all of which are close to campus

(Comfort Suites within walking distance); transportation will be also available to and from the

conference site from the hotel(s):

arranging transportation to and from the hotels.

D. Mississippi Delta Excursion and Banquet (Saturday 11:50 am – end of evening): $50/person

Conference attendees are invited to join a special excursion to the Mississippi Delta, for a

night of blues and barbeque. Time permitting, this trip will include visits to the Museum of the Mississippi Delta and the Delta Blues Museum; the Cheiron banquet at the Hopson

Plantation; and reception at Ground Zero, a famous blues club.

Travel, museum fees, lunch (on the bus), and the banquet will be included in the cost;

additional drinks at Ground Zero are not included. Banquet/excursion tickets may be

limited and must be purchased in advance, not the day of the excursion.
