The Local 83 Executive and TOH Bargaining Unit Elections To Be Held on October 26, 2016

September 7, 2016 “Call for Nominations” Please indicate in writing by October 5, 2016 your intention to run for a position on the Local 83 Executive Committee, TOH Bargaining Unit Committees or as Unit Representative at The Ottawa Hospital Bargaining Unit.

Nomination forms for any of the elected positions must be signed by two “entitled” ONA Local 83 members and include their ONA ID number. The nomination forms and resume forms may be obtained from the Local website www.onalocal83.org, the Local’s office manager or members of the Election Committee. In signing the nomination form, each nominee submits their written consent that they will accept the position if elected as per the ONA constitution.

Please submit your fully completed nomination forms and resume forms in person or by mail to the Local office by October 5, 2016 at 12 noon addressed to:

A complete list of candidates for any contested position will be posted by the Local Election Committee at least 10 days prior to the election date. The list of candidates acclaimed and contested will be posted by October 12, 2016

You will be required to have your permanent ONA ID card, or, complete a membership form in order to be eligible to cast your vote on Election Day.

ONA constitution indicates that the positions of Local Coordinator and Bargaining Unit President may be held by one person in multi-bargaining unit Locals
