METER READER PUBLIC SERVICES

Obtain water meter readings within established time frames; possess good knowledge of city streets, capable of walking considerable distances daily. Ability to communicate with the public. CONSTRUCTION SUPERINTENDENT ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT

Performs sub-professional engineering tasks to coordinate and schedule planning construction, inspection and general administration of City engineering projects. Reviews plans; surveys construction sites; prepares minor designs; prepare and negotiate required construction contract change orders; prepare bid item quantity takeoffs and engineers cost estimates; and performs related work as required. Considerable knowledge of City policies, procedures and ordinances, and various codes and law affecting City construction operations. A minimum of 10 years of experience including 2 years of supervisory experience. This shall include experience in civil design and construction or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.

MAINTENANCE WORKER STREET DIVISION

Operates light to medium equipment used in grounds keeping of the City’s water well and lift station easements and property. Other duties as assigned. H.S. diploma or GED.

PART-TIME JUVENILE CASE MANAGER MUNICIPAL COURT

Assist the court in administering the court’s juvenile docket, performs customer service providing routine clerical duties to assist the Municipal Court Clerk Administrator in maintaining accurate and complete Municipal Court records; assist in reviewing court orders in juvenile cases; performs related work as required. Will perform first point-of-contact with juveniles, parents, guardians of defendants, and adult defendant by providing customer service. EQUIPMENT OPERATOR III STREET DIVISION

Leads subordinate personnel in the performance of street, storm drainage and/or street sign maintenance and repair duties. Performs general maintenance, routine and emergency repair work, heavy machinery operation and other work to accomplish daily assignments; performs related work as required. Ensures all work is conducted according to detailed instructions with adherence to prescribed standards and procedures. HS Diploma or GED supplemented by up to two years of previous experience in street maintenance and/or heavy equipment operations, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Must possess a valid class “B” CDL state driver’s license.

MECHANIC I CENTRAL SHOP

Performs the skilled mechanical repair and maintenance of City vehicles and equipment. Keeps complete and accurate maintenance records. Must be able to perform a full range of complex tasks within a framework of established procedures, with only occasional instruction or assistance. Must have at least two years of responsible experience in automotive and or heavy equipment maintenance and repair work. Able to obtain ASE certification within two years. COMMUNICATION OFFICER POLICE DEPARTMENT

Receives records and assigns incoming calls to the appropriate Police Department personnel. Monitors department radio communication and provides information and assistance as needed; greets and assists department visitors.
