The Junior League of Oakland-East Bay, Inc. (JLOEB) is an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women and improving communities through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. Its purpose is exclusively educational and charitable.

Eligibility for Membership A prospective member of JLOEB must have an interest in voluntarism, a commitment to community service and a desire to develop the skills and abilities that will better enable her to serve the community A prospective member shall be 21 years of age or older as of June 1, 2017
The Junior League of Oakland-East Bay, Inc. uses the above criteria for consideration of prospective members only
Applying for Membership Complete the Membership Application Read and sign the New Member Agreement Attach a check for $235.00 registration and course fee; check made payable to JLOEB, or provide credit card information Return the completed Membership Application, the signed agreement, and the registration fee to the League office. For Fall 2017 class must be postmarked by September 14th, for Winter 2018 class must be postmarked by January 18th.

Please read carefully before signing. Return this completed form along with your payment and application form. New Member Responsibilities: Pay New Member annual dues of $110.00 and a New Member Course fee of $125.00 for a total registration fee of $235.00. This payment must be postmarked by Monday, September 14, 2017 for the Fall 2017 class and Monday, January 18, 2018 for the Winter 2018 class. Attend at minimum (3) Junior League of Oakland-East Bay, Inc. (JLOEB) General Membership Meetings or Area Meetings Attend (2) New Member Orientation meetings Complete (2) Community Impact shifts Complete (1) Signature Fundraiser shift Fulfill placement on Committee Placement
Each meeting, shift or training session is usually about three hours in length.

The minimum New Member Orientation meetings are mandatory. Make-up sessions will be granted for missing New Member Orientation meetings under certain circumstances. New Members transferring into the Junior League of Oakland-East Bay shall be subject to the same requirements as listed above. Active Member annual dues are due and payable in March 2018 before placement on a committee for the 2018-2019 League year.
