Bromma is currently seeking a Field Service Technician, Bromma Spreaders that will be located in the LONG BEACH, CALIFORNIA area.

We are looking for a self-motivated, energetic team player to join our organization. As a Bromma Field Service Technician, your primary role will be to provide commissioning services on new equipment and to provide technical support to our North America Port customers.

Bromma Spreaders is a global company based out of Sweden, and the industry’s most experienced manufacturer of container spreaders and lifting equipment. Since the 1960’s, we have built thousands of fully automatic crane spreaders with an estimated 5000 units in operation globally. The person hired for this position will work closely along-side our other Field Service Engineers and in good partnership with the Americas Sales Team.

Key Responsibilities:

 Start-up and commission of new equipment.  Communicate with customer to determine equipment problems, and when necessary, travel to customer locations to troubleshoot, make adjustments and/or repair equipment.  Relay information concerning customer needs to our Sales, Engineering, and Product Support groups.  Install software upgrades and make needed programming changes at customer sites.  Respond to and process warranty claims.  Coordinate and perform field service activities and after-sales projects.  Maintain good communication with customers.  Complete required internal and external reporting.  Travel internationally when needed.  Travel is estimated at 50% to 75% of the time.  Perform other related after-sales duties as assigned.

Position Requirements: Education

 High School diploma is a minimum.  Preference will be given to those with advanced technical degree and/or training.

Experience

 Candidates must have a strong and diverse technical background including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. Key skills in troubleshooting is a must.  Experience in industrial and/or large equipment electrics will be strongly considered.  (3-5) Years of relevant work experience.
