MINUTES The Board of Trustees, Town of Harrold, met in regular session June 12, 2017 at City Hall (auditorium). President Becker called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. with Dean Becker, Marty Winckler, and Ken Branine, Trustees, and Cec Johnson, Finance Officer in attendance. NOTE: All motions are unanimous unless otherwise noted. MOTION by Branine to approve the building permit application submitted by Gypsie Salathe for a chain-link fence; second by Becker. Motion carried. Marlene Knutson and John Coppock, Central South Dakota Enhancement District, discussed changes to the city ordinances. MOTION by Winckler to allow Central South Dakota Enhancement District to work on updating the city ordinances, second by Branine. Motion carried. MOTION by Winckler to approve the May 8, 2017 minutes as presented; second by Branine. Motion carried. The following bills were submitted and approved for payment: Northwestern Energy $437.85 (City electricity); Venture Communications $113.97 (phone and internet); Northwestern Energy $347.95 (school and bus shed); Cap’s Trail Service $14.56 (gas); Hall Oil $194.85 (propane for shop); Highmore Herald $40.78 (publishing); Mid-Dakota Water $40.00 (city water); Riter Rogers Law Office $385.00 (legal services); South Dakota One Call $3.36 (locate ticket); Cec Johnson $529.10 (May wages; Envirotech $69.19 (school garbage); Mid-Dakota Water $59.00 (auditorium water); Poppe Enterprises $64.00 (pest control). Rental rates for use of the gym and lunchroom were discussed. The board is considering the following: Use of entire facility (gym, lunchroom and kitchen): $500. Upon board approval of cleaning done by the renters after the event, up to $325 will be refunded. The refunded amount will depend on the level of cleaning that was done. Use of kitchen/lunchroom: $200. Upon board approval of cleaning done by the renters after the event, up to $125 will be refunded. The refunded amount will depend on the level of cleaning that was done. Action will be taken at the July 10, 2017 board meeting. Anyone with thoughts or concerns about the proposed rental rates, please bring them to the July board meeting. President Becker declared the meeting adjourned at 8:55 pm Cecelia M.
